THE FAVORITE SUBJECT OF THE FRESHMEN STUDENTS OF AMACC

SANTIAGO CITY DURING S.Y 2014-2015

ABSTRACT

The research study entitled, The Favorite subject of freshmen students of AMACC
Santiago Campus. was made to identify the Favorite subject of the freshmen students.
The researchers constructed the problems about the study. These were the following:
What is the favorite subject of the freshmen students of AMACC Santiago City S.Y 2014
2015 in terms of Major subjects (General Education) or Minor subjects (Field of
expertise). What are the factors affecting their interest their favorite subject? What are
the recommendations in order to stir up the interest of the freshmen students in nonfavorite subjects? The researchers typically used descriptive-normative method for the
development of the study that included the Lickert Scale for the data analysis and
interpretation of data. For the evaluation of the study, survey method was used. The
researchers formulated questionnaire that was handed out to fifty respondents. Based
on the researchers findings and analysis of the study, with the help of the respondents
ideas, the researchers proved that In General, students has their favorite subject
because they think it is fun or they are good at it, it relates to other aspects of their lives.
Freshmen students also shows the relevancy of the content being taught by the
instructor in the classroom and their experiences outside the classroom. Some of the
students based their favorite subject on a teacher itself otherwise it provide structure in
the classroom. Students find it also by inspiring the work of some instructors. Students
perception depending on their learning experiences both inside and outside the class.
The result of this study tells that the favorite subject of the freshmen students of AMACC
Santiago campus is Filipino.
