Dear Hiring Manager,
I would like to express my interest in the Summer Internship at Deloitte Consulting Vietnam.
After a conversation with Ms. Patricia Le, an S&O consultant, I realize that the challenging and
dynamic working environment with a great potential for career development at Deloitte
Consulting Vietnam truly sparked my interest. My proclivity for problem solving and analysis,
as well as my leadership skills and work experience, makes me an ideal candidate. I value this
position as an excellent opportunity to grow personally and professionally, and I aim to achieve
this goal by creating significant impacts while interning at Deloitte Consulting Vietnam.
I possess great analytical skills and a strong entrepreneurial approach to solving problems. As a
Neuroscience major, I have excelled in research and critical skills through the practice of
analyzing many science study data and being able to form different hypotheses. In summer 2014,
I interned for Social Entrepreneur Corps and worked with a team of 8 other people to assess and
analyze the market potential for 3 new products in Guatemala. After we made the advice to
introduce these new products, I worked with 2 other members and specifically designed
promotional strategies that successfully boosted the number of sales to be highest in the last few
years. Since then, the following interns have been continuing to execute these strategies.
My interdisciplinary study focuses on the functional properties of the brain in order to better
understand social and economic decisions. I have always applied this knowledge to create
effective leadership, and working with clients. For example, when working as a student advisor
at the Duke Career Center, or as a Resident Assistant at Duke Kunshan University (China), I
learned to think from other peoples perspectives and identify their needs so that I was able to
effectively communicate with them and deliver my consultation. Moreover, I lead by serving
others. In summer 2013, I co-led a team of 30 students to work on a project aiming to raise
community awareness about disability issues in Vietnam. I served and motivated my team by
listening to their personal goals and ideas. As a result, everyone worked hard and in 2 weeks, we
successfully achieved all of our objectives, although they were seen too ambitious at first.
I am confident that the knowledge and skills I have gained through academic, work experiences,
and leadership practice will make me a successful intern at Deloitte Consulting Vietnam. I am
looking forward to having an interview with you. If you have further questions regarding my
candidacy, please contact me at (984) 209-6490 or quang.do@duke.edu. Thank you for your
time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Quang Do
