Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engg.,
Tiruchendur founded in the year 1995, is the
fruit of the dedicated effort from the eminent
industrialist and enthusiastic educationist
PadmaShri Dr. B. Sivanthi Adityan. He had
constantly strived to establish a center for
Excellence in Engineering & Technology
particularly in the rural area to develop
manpower with entrepreneurship qualities
useful for industry.
The Institution with the dominant

our
beloved
chairman
Sri.S.Balasubramania Adityan is emerging as a
center of excellence in academic and R & D
with the vision to adhere the current
technological demands.
This college has been approved by
AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna
University Chennai. This college campus is
situated in a quiet environment about 5 k.m
from Tiruchendur Railway Station. The college
is ISO 9001-2008 certified and all the UG
programmes are accredited by NBA. It is also
accredited by Tata Consultancy Services and
Institution of Engineers(I).
The institute offers 6 UG, 5 PG
programme in Engineering & Technology and
MBA & MCA courses.
About the Department:
The Physical Education department
was started in the academic year 1995.The
department has a team of well qualified
experienced and dedicated faculty members
with training and teaching background. The
department is fully equipped with state of art
facilities to enhance talent and potential to face
the competitors. The department has produced
many sports talents for the state and country.
The department has achieved many laurels
through achievements.

Besides high quality education, the Department

is also actively involved in achieving overall
performances in zonal, Inter-zonal, TIES and
state level competitions. The department has
organized more than 100 tournaments and
sports events.
About the Workshop:
The objective of the workshop is to
give a better exposure to the participants on
the recent trends and Technologies in Sports.
It covers the various Software and hardware
technology developments and features of
Wireless devices to monitor and improve the
performance of giving training, mentoring and
identify the training needs with kits.
