Liaquat Memorial Hospital

The 230 Bedded Liaquat Memorial Hospital was commissioned as Institute of


Excellence in the early 80s. Construction started in March 1983 and was completed
in two years i.e. March 1985, as prescribed.. This hospital has different branches
across the Pakistan. The covered area of the Liaquat Memorial Hospital is 179,600
sq ft (16,690 m2). It has been constructed as comprehensive and most modern
health facilities. It is also a tertiary care referral centre for the Northern area, Azad
Jammu & Kashmir, NWFP and Northern part of Punjab. The hospital has been
provided with modern specialized equipment.

Objectives
It caters the need of primary health care for the whole area through preventive and
curative approaches. It serves as a focal point for training of paramedics and other
child health workers. It forms the heart of the national medical facility modernization
program, to meet the growing needs for prevention of diseases and other problems
related to children in routine paediatric treatment. It is also a tertiary care referral
hospital.

Achievement & Working


Daily average attendance of the patient in outpatient department is nearly 400. Daily
average admissions in inpatient department are 30. Daily average surgical
procedures in operation theatre are 15 and daily attendance of the patient in
Accident & Emergency department is nearly 100.

The 50 bed Islamabad Centre, established in 1995, remain operative to full capacity.
It provides an open, clean and healthy environment for drug abuse treatment and
rehabilitation.

.The 30-bed Liaquat Memorial Hospital Faisalabad facility, established in
March 1992, is presently under reorganization

PATIENT MANAGEMENT:

This department manages the admissions, stay, and discharge of patients


in the hospital.
CLINICAL SERVICES:
This department is responsible for all the extra services provided to the
patients such as pharmacy, X-Rays, Ultrasounds and psychiatric tests.
ACCOUNTS AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:

This department manages the finances and accounts. It deals with all the
cash, receipts, payments etc.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:

This department contains all aspects about inventory such as medicines,


equipments, furniture etc.
PAYROLL MANAGEMENT:

It deals with the payment of salary of the entire staff of the hospital
