Minutes of DBS Faulty Meeting (Dated: 14-10-2014)

A faculty meeting of DBS was held on Tuesday 23-Dec-2014 at 10:00 AM in


Room#221 A Block. The following members were present in meeting.

Disciplinary issues
The meeting started with reciting of the Holy Quran. HOD Basic Sciences, Professor Dr.
Muhammad Tufail, T.I presided the meeting. Later HOD described the purpose of the meeting.
Following points were discussed in the meeting;

Semester extension/Sessional/ Terminal exam.

Due to winter vacations semester has been extended for 2 weeks and will be and

on 25th January 2015.


Final terminal exam of DBS will be started on 28th January 2015.
The Next semester will start on 13th Feb 2015.
Course will be complete in extra 3 weeks and time of sessional papers will be

reduced from 1:30 to 1:00 hour.


Terminal Result should be finalized within 4 days after the papers as per
university policy.

Spring 2015 admission.

Faculty members/staff should properly follow attendance policy and rules of Riphah.
The leave without any intimation is discouraged.
Very first day after Eid vacation on 9th October, 2014, our faculty attendance was

lower that was noticed by the administration of Riphah.


Different departments of university strictly observe class timing, even a few minutes late

is noted.
University administration gives excessive importance to the faculty attendance issues.
We have developed a much more flexible approach to faculty members for their
facilitation but it is our mutual responsibility to contribute our efforts to promote
discipline and produce good repute of our department.

Decisions
The following decisions were made after discussion:
1. All faculty members/staff should ensure timely attendance according to the University
rules.
2. All faculty members/staff who want to avail their leave should submit approved leave
application forms in the Coordination Office.
3. In case of any emergency faculty member/staff should timely inform to the HOD or
Discipline Incharge through Phone/Email/SMS for their emergency leave. On next
working day they must submit approved leave application form in the Coordination
Office for record.
4. Tuesday will be the working day for all faculty members.No faculty member is allowed
to use this day as weekly off.
