The Little Voice Project has a vision to put itself out of business. Yes, you read that correctly, not only are we the first
nonprofit focused on fixing a broken system that puts children in the hands of documented abusers, but we are also
the only nonprofit composed of passionate individuals hoping to work themselves out of a job.
Our mission? To end the injustice that is responsible for the physical and mental torment, disappearance and death
of so many of our smallest citizens. Shockingly, every year in America 58,000 [known] children are placed
into the hands of docum ented abusers by the courts, a practice known as Court-Ordered Child Abuse. Our
organization focuses exclusively on protecting children that are forced to have unsupervised contact with a parent(s)
that has been found guilty of physical or sexual abuse. The formation of a Childrens Justice Center will allow
The Little Voice Project to provide the services needed in order to insure representation and justice for children in
these situations.
On December 1, 2015 our founder, Jennifer Kendall, will depart on a seven month journey walking the entire state of
California to raise awareness, foster partnerships with government agencies, and secure donations so we can BUILD
a Childrens Justice Center. With a unique twist on the phrase pounding the pavement, Jennifer will be the first
person to succeed in walking to EVERY county seat in California to rally support. With your help, this journey,
Baby Steps: A Journey Towards Action, will not merely be a historical accomplishment but it will be the
catalyst to stopping Court-Ordered Child Abuse.

The number one myth surrounding the family court system is that if a
protective parent cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed to
them, as is the case in the criminal courts. In reality, protective parents
are on their own, forced to defend themselves and left to navigate the
maze of proceedings and requirements surrounding custody cases with
no assistance. The abusive parent uses this factor to make the situation
worse for their victims and perpetuate the abusive cycle. The result ---
Protective Parents who are depending on the courts to help keep their
children safe are being forced to turn their children over to individuals
even the courts themselves have deemed dangerous and abusive.

The Childrens Justice Center

LVP will handily solve this problem and others by opening our Childrens
Justice Center. This center will offer strength and protection to those
too weak or too small to defend themselves. Expert attorneys and
support staff will work within the court system and government

agencies to tenaciously protect children from abuse, including;

challenging the Family Courts when decisions lead to Court-Ordered
Child Abuse and demanding accountability for those in power who do
not have the best interest of these children at heart.

In addition to the provision of legal support and systems oversight, the
Childrens Justice Center will work to diminish the trauma associated
with fact-gathering for custody cases. To this end, we will have available
therapeutic services, forensic services and medical services that tend to
the needs of children who have endured physical and sexual abuse in a
manner that is nurturing and minimally invasive while still completely
confidential.
