GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Site Preparation Requirements

1.1 Possession of Site

A

The Main Contractor shall take possession of the Site and any additional areas of
site made available to him for the purpose of carrying out the Work and shall
commence the Work within seven days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed issued by
Owner or the Project Manager on behalf of the Owner.

The Main Contractor shall thereafter take possession of such further parts of the
Site and any additional areas of Site made available for him for the carrying out
of the remaining Phases of the Works.

After taking possession of the Site and any additional areas of Site made
available to him for the carrying out of the Work, the Main Contractor shall clear
area of debris and provide the necessary watchmen to prevent unauthorized
entry.

1.2 Access and Restrictions

A

The Main Contractor shall be solely responsible for all matters regarding access to
the Site including making his own arrangements for same.

The access ways are to be kept clear and free from obstructions.

A gateway is to be constructed at the site at each entry or exit point.

Walkways within the site are to be well illuminated and constructed to the
approval of the Project Manager.

Vehicles conveying materials to or from the Site are to be properly laden and
suitably equipped as to prevent spillage of materials onto the streets and or dust
into the atmosphere.

The Main Contractor shall comply in all respects with all road traffic regulations
and give adequate notices, make timely applications for required permits and pay
all fees in connection therewith.

If the Main Contractor fails to provide the signs as specified when ordered, the
Project Manager or the Construction Manager may take remedial action as he
deems appropriate, including the ordering of signs from another source. Under
such circumstances, the costs incurred by the Owner shall be recoverable by
deducting such costs from payment due to the Main Contractor.
