Striking Feature of his Horoscope

As a result of combination of the connection of Ascendent cuspal sub lord (CSL) Moon and

Child birth
2nd house denotes increase in the number of the members of family due to birth of a child.
5th house considered for child birth. It indicates first conception or pregnancy, progeny or
child.
8th house signify sexual urge. 10th house indicates achievement of any undertakings. Being
10th from 8th is 5th house which indicates result of sex. Thus 5th house stands for child or
child birth.
11th house indicates fulfillment of desire.
11th is 5th from 7th. The 5th for female and 11th for male is important. Thus, in a female chart
5th cuspal sublord is the guide and in a male chart 11th cuspal sublord is the guide for child
birth.
Hints:
Consider the houses 2, 5 and 11 for child birth. Cancer, Scorpio and Pieces are the fruitful
signs and important for assessment for child birth matters. Jupiter is the natural significator (Karaka) of child birth.
Considerer the houses 1, 4 and 10 for absence of children or for separation from children
(being 12th from 2, 5 and 11 respectively). Aries, Gemini, Leo and Virgo are the barren
signs. Saturn and Ketu are the natural malefic planets for child birth.
In a female chart,
If the cuspal sublord (CSL) of 5th signifies 2, 5 or 11 and/or in connection with 2, 5 or 11

If the cuspal sublord of 5th is posited in 7th house without any connection with 2 or 5 or
11, the no child birth is promised at all;
If the cuspal sublord of 5th be signifies 1 or 4 or 10 without any connection with 2 or 5 or

If the 5th cuspal sublord as a planet and through its starlord does not signify 2 or 5 or
11, then for child birth, 5th cuspal sublord must be posited in sub of that planet who is the
significator of 2 or 5 or 11 and in connection with fruitful sign.
In a male chart,
If the cuspal sublord of 11th signifies 5, 8 or 11 and/or in connection with 5, 8 or 11

(which is 2nd.5th and 11th from 7th i.e. wife) & fruitful sign;
If the cuspal sublord of 11th is posited in Lagna (7th from 7th) without any connection
with 5 or 8 or 11, the no child birth is promised at all;
If the cuspal sublord of 11th be signifies 7 or 10 or 4 without any connection with 8 or 5

Hint:

Moon's position in RP indicates Star lord, Sub-lord, Sub-sub lord, Sub-sub-sub lord.
Whether it is matched with the Asc is to be found. The Asc sub lord and sub sub lord at the
time of birth whether it matches with the RP Moon's sub sub or sub sub sub. If these do not
agree within 5 minutes additions or deductions, then leave this and take Asc sub-sub only.
Birth time of the native, if it is found required to have difference of more than 15 to 20
minutes :
At the time of birth Asc sub lord should tally with RP's Moon position of Star-Sub-Sub Sub
or anyone from this three. We have to give weightage in order of, Sub is stronger than Star;

Rules for Accidents
Rule 1- If a planet signifies Lagna bhava and it is in the sub of the significator of 8th house,
one meets with danger. (KP Reader V, p 144/ 1971 edition p 138)
Rule 2 - If the sub lord of the Ascendant cusp is deposited in the constellation of the

happens to be also the significator of the 6th house, then he will have fever, etc. following
the accident. If the same sub lord is in the star of a planet who is also the significator of
12th, he will be admitted in a hospital.
If the sub lord happens to be the significator of Badhaka and Maraka, he will succumb to it,
provided his longevity is not further more promised. If the longevity is promised, he will get

Rule 5 - (Accident - KPEZine May 2011)
If the sub lord of the Ascendant, 8th or 12th cusp or if the joint rulers of the Asc, 8th or
12th cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 8 or 12, the native is
likely to meet with an accident. If the sub lord is in the star of the occupant or owner of 8, 7
or 2, the accident will prove fatal. (Chandrakant R. Bhatt: Nakshatra Chintamani, p 31;

Rule 6- If the significator of 3rd house for short journey and the significator of 9th house
for a long journey happen to be the significator of houses 6 and 8 one will meet with an
accident. The injury will need hospitalization if it is also the significator of 12th house.
Danger and death are denoted by the sub lord of the cusp of the 8th house. (KP Reader III,
pp 171, 422)
Rule 7- If the sub lords of 4, 8, 12 trigonal or terminal houses have their stars in each other
houses, the serious accident will occur during the joint period of significators of houses
4,8,12. (Astro secrets and K.P. Part 2, p 95; K. M. Subramaniam: Sublord Speaks- 3, pp 23,
66)
The general rule for accident:
If the Ascendant and 8th cuspal sub lords signify house 6 (injury), 8 (accident) and 12
(hospitalization) and are connected with Mars, Saturn or Node, one may meet with accident
during the joint dasa period of significators of 4, 6, 8 and 12; if Maraka and Badhaka houses

As per the above revelations the native is destined to have a love marriage and also to meet
with a serious accident. According to the KP rules propounded by Guruji Sri KSK, if the
DBAS do not signify required houses for the matter concerned, the promised matter may
not come to be fruitful. In the chart under discussion, Kethu is the main period ruler during
the times of both life events of marriage and accident. In other words Kethu happened to be

Dasa lord Kethu's signification of house 7, as a marriage house, gives marriage to the native
in combination of 5th (love affair) signification. At the same time this Kethu's signification of

Will my daughter pass her French examination for which she appeared last month? If so,
when?
This is the question posed by my wife on 12-12-2014 around 10.45 a.m. She gave me
horary number 58.
On the same day at 11.01.51 AM, I started working on this question according to the horary
number 58 at Secunderabad.
Since the question is raised by my wife, the chart is rotated for her daughters house 5th as
her lagna- LIBRA- and started working on the rotated chart.
MOON: In the original chart, Moon indicates the status of the querists mind. Moon is the
lord of 2nd in 2nd house (immediate family member). Moons star lord Kethu is placed in 10
bhava (effort of writing the examination). Moon aspects 9th house (higher study). Kethu
indicates that the querist is experiencing some tension or worry about the examination of
her daughter. Moons sub lord Venus as 5th lord (daughter) is in 6th house (facing
competitive exams). From this it is clear that the query is genuine.
Ascendant (lagna sub lord indicates the query): In the original chart, ascendant lord
Mercury is also the lord of 4th(education) which is placed in 6th (competitive exams). It is in
its own star. It is in Saturn sub, lord of 8 (experiencing some tension, apprehensions and
curiosity) & 9 (higher education) is placed in 5th (daughter).
From the above analysis of Moon and the Ascendant it is assured that the querists mind
clearly speaks of her intensions and it is a good indication to proceed further in the analysis
of the horary chart.
First method:
K.P. rules with regard to success in the examination say thatIf the 4th cusp sub lord is the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of the 4
(examination), 6th (competitive examination), 9(higher study) or 11( success), the success is
assured in the given examination and it will be materialized during conjoined period of the
significators of 4, 6, 9 and 11. All the cusp sub lords and star lords should not be in
retrograde motion in horary analysis.
(1)The 4th cusp sub lord is Mercury in the roateted chart. So 4th cusp sub lord should
signify 9, 6 and 11 for success in the examination.
Mercury is the lord of 9 and 12, in 2nd. Mercury is in Mercury star and Saturn sub. Saturn
is the lord of 4 and 5, in 1st. So Mercury signifies 4, 9.
(2) 9th cusp sub lord is also Mercury. Mercury who is the significator of 4 and 9th cusps is
the karaka for languages. 9th cusp co rulers are Sani- Rahu- Venus. The star lord of 9th
cusp Rahu signifies foreign languages French-- for which her daughter has taken an
examination.

6 competitive examination and 9 higher study by its aspect
So success is assured in the French examination. However 11 cusp sub lord Moon is
aspected by Saturn which will cause delay in fructification of the event.

Dasa Analysis
The period at the time of judgment is Kethu Dasa (12-12-2014 to 25-4-20210) and Venus
bhukthi (22-9-2014 to 22-11-2014).
Kethu is in the R.Ps and signifies 9 and 11. Venus+ is in the R.Ps and signifies 6
(competitive exam).
The anthara period is SUN (2-12-2014 to 23-12-2014). Though Sun is in the R.Ps, it is in
Jupiter sub. The sub lord Jupiter which is in retrogression motion gives only negative
results and so it is not considered.
The next anthara period is MOON (23-12-2014 to 27-1-2015). Moon is in the R.Ps. Moon,
the 11th cusp sub lord, signifies 6(competitive exam) and its star lord Kethu signifies 9.
Sun will be transiting in Venus star from 29-12-2014 to 11-1-2015 and Venus as sub lord
of anthara lord Moon is in the R.Ps and significators.
Now we are left with Saturn in the list of Ruling planets.
Moon anthara extends from 22 Dec 2014 to 27 Jan 2015 and Saturn sookshma period
extends from 7 Jan 2015 to 13 Jan2015. Sun will be transiting in Sagittarius sign on Venus
star from 29 Dec 2014 to 11 Jan 2015. Venus is the sub lord of Moon anthara lord and
Bhukthi lord also.
DASA LORD Kethu signifies -6, 9 and 11 and so it is favorable to give successful result.
BUKTHI LORD Venus+ signifies- 6 at both levels and assures success in the exams.
ANTHARA LORD Moon signifies-6, 9 and 11.
All the Dasa, Bhukthi and Anthara lords are connected by the sub lords of the 4, 6, 9 and
11 cusps.
Taking the transits and significators into consideration I thought that the results would be
declared on 5th January 2015 Monday when Moon will be transiting on Rahu star. Rahu
represents Mercury 9th significator and the day lord Moon signifies 6th.

Facts of the case:

The actual facts of the case is that exam results were declared on 8th January 2015. When
I checked up the transits on 8th I observed that Sun will be transiting in Sagittarius
Jupiter sign, Venus star, Saturn sub and Mars sub sub (up to 24.00.00 longitude).
Moon was transiting in Cancer sign on Mercury star Saturn sub and Saturn sub sub when
the actual results were communicated by mail.
Second method: (This is post analysis only to see the efficacy of this method)
Fructification of the event by taking only ruling planets with help of sun transit only.
Among the available methods the best method for predicting the timing of the event, I have
preferred to choose is the Ruling Planets method and Sun transit.
The ruling planets at the time of judgment are Kethu-Venus-Sat-Sun-Mars and Moon, as
discussed above.
At the time of erection of the horary chart Sun is transiting in Scorpio sign.
In the Scorpio sign there are three stars whose lords are Jupiter- Saturn- Mercury. Sun is
transiting on Mercury star up to 16 Dec 2014 and Mercury is not an R.P.
The next sign in which Sun will be transiting is Sagittarius from 16-12-2014 to 14-1-2015.
In this sign there are three stars whose lords are KETHU- VENUS-SUN.
Kethu is in the ruling planets and Sun will be transiting on Kethu star from 16-12-2014 to
29-12-2014. Kethu acts as an agent for Jupiter who is in retrograde motion, and so I have
not considered Kethu to give the result.
The next star Poorvashada whose lord is Venus is in the R.Ps. Sun will be transiting on
Venus star from 29-12-2014 to 11-1-2015. Venus is reflected twice in the R.Ps. and so I
have chosen it for materialization of the event.
Next step is to arrive at the correct Sub lord to give the result. We are left with Saturn, Mars
and Sun.

The institute has declared holidays from 25 Dec 2014 to 02 Jan 2015 and remained closed.
Even if it was not the case of holidays the sub lords Rahu and Jupiter are not selected for
our consideration as they are not in the Ruling Planets.
Though the sub lord Saturn on 7th January could have been taken for our consideration
but yet it is negated, as it is in the sub sub lord of Mercury which is not a Ruling planet.
On 8 January 2015 Sun is transiting on Jupiter sign Venus star Saturn sub and Mars sub
sub and I could boldly declare that the results will be announced on 8-1-2015.
The fact is that the results are declared and displayed in their web site 8th January early
hours.

Back Ground: One of my known Mrs. X came to me and asked about a problem regarding
a matrimonial matter related to her family. She told that the bridegroom family has got
email from an unknown about an affair of bride. Mrs. X belongs to the bride family. The
bridegroom family just shared this email with the bride family. The bride family got into
anxiety and mental agony too. The bride was not actually in any affair after deciding to
marry with the present one. Marriage date was already decided for 10 March 2015. So Mrs.
X was worried whether this misunderstanding will cancel the decided marriage ceremony.
She had great curiosity about KP astrology answers so she asked question whether
marriage will be solemnized or not. Question was related to an event which was to be
happened or not happened in a ew days.
My View: I reframed the question that firstly whether both the families will agree or not
agree to remain firm on decision of solemnized marriage on 10 March 2015. For that both
the families need to talk on the issue and decide before 10 March 2015. I decided to do it
with help of ruling planets because this was an event which answers yes or no within a
week from the date of question.

Hints: Event which is to be occurred or not occurred, then on day of Asc sign lord planet
from the day of day lord planet, the event will take place. Question was asked on Saturday
which is the day of day lord Saturn.
Asc sign lord is Moon. Day lord of Moon is Monday. I guessed on coming Monday means on
2.3.2015 it will be decided about cancel or not cancel the marriage. I also cross checked
Sun transit on these dates. Sun is in kumbha (Aqurius) sign of planet Saturn. Presently
Sun is going through satabhisha star of Rahu i.e. RP and that will remain there by 4 March
2015. Then Sun will go through star P. Bhadre of Jupiter.

Jupiter is not in the R.P. So I analyzed that negotiation will be successful if it is done in the
period before 4 March 2015 and after 2 March 2015. 2 March was also the day of Moon Asc
sign lord. So I advised them to sit together on 2.3.15 to get final position for yes.
Final outcome: I came to know on 3.3.15 that both families sat together on 2.3.15 and
clarified the issue. Then there was no misunderstanding. Marriage was decided for the same
date. I also came to know that the bride family followed my advice not to talk with the
bridegroom family on Sunday, 1 March 2015. Despite so much anxiety and agony they
preferred Monday to talk. Ruling planets played the charismatic role. I am amazed.

Joint period:
At the time of horary, Jupiter dasa continues up to 10-07-2020. Joint period at the time of
horary judgment is Jupiter-Venus up to 21-01-2015.
Dasa lord Jupiter is lord of 2nd thus OK.
Bhukit lord Venus is lord of 7 thus OK.
For Antra we have running antra Jupiter, we have taken Jupiter as a Dasa lord, next is Saturn and Saturn is in the star and sub of Rahu. Saturn is occupant of 12, owner of 3-4. Star
and sub lord Rahu is occupant of 8. Rahu is agent of Mercury, Mercury is occupant of 1,
owner of 8-11. Thus Saturn signifies 11 thus OK.
My opinion: Marriage was on 11-05-2014 thus during Jupiter-Venus-Saturn up to 10-072014. If we check Sookshma, it was Moon. I never go up to Sookshma, but if we check
Moon, Moon is occupant of 7 thus OK.
Important point to be understood:
If you use 4 fold significator table you cant find Saturn as significator but due to Rahus
agent it signifies 11.
Strong significator and weak significator are not always useful in advance prediction,
personally I never use it. I know great criticizer now publishes scan page, but no matter,
only theory never helps, only practical application is useful. Remember one thing to live
in present and use new development, not go backward to Paththar Yuga
He uses RP for ratification and to do rectification it will take time and so that RP do not
work for selection of DBAS. Thus we have to use RP at the time of selection of RP or
without RP. Even it happened so I try without RP as per my understanding.

On 09-08-2011 a client came to me exactly at 9-45 AM to obtain the astrological prediction
about his second marriage as he got recently a few months back divorce orders through
court for his wife. I asked him to give a horary number from 1 to 249. Immediately he
uttered 45/249. Then I asked him to come tomorrow morning at 10 or 11 AM for my
prediction. On the same day I went to Anantapur on my personal urgent work and arrived
my home on 9/10-08-2011 at night 12-55 AM. After refreshing myself, I sat for analyzing
the horary chart of my client because he will come for prediction tomorrow from Adoni
which is nearly110 K.M. distance from Kurnool. The details of the horary chart are hereunder furnished.
Name of the client:- Mr. Y.H.P.; Question:- Recently I have got the divorce orders for my
wife through court. Now I want to marry. Is there second marriage for me? If so, when?
Horary Number given by him is 45/249. D.O.J.= 10-08-2010; T.O.J.= 01-11-00 AM; P.O.J.=
Kurnool (A.P.); 15-50N; 78-03E.
Moon indicates the mind of the questioner and the nature of query.
In this horary chart, Moon is in 2 and the lord of 2 & 3.Moon is aspecting 8th & 9th.(8th
indicates worries, disappointments, obstructions etc. regarding his second marriage. 9th
indicates second wife- as per Kanakji). It is in the sub of Ketu, having no planets in its
stars, and the CSL of 11. It is stationed in 1. Thus the mind karaka Moon is well connected

In this horary map, Mars+ the sub lord of the 7th cusp is deposited in a dual sign Virgo
and it is also a strong significator of 2 and 11 houses. (Some of the Astrologers are considering Virgo also as a dual sign). Thus as said above both the conditions are satisfied simultaneously. So the second marriage is promised to this querent.
NOTE:- All the 7th cusp co-rulers (Jupiter/Ketu/Mars) are posited in the dual signs.
Jupiter is in Meena sign; Ketu is in Mithuna sign; Mars is in Kanya sign. Moreover Ketu
having no planets in its stars is in 1 in the star of Rahu who is in 7.
The 2nd cusp sub lord Moon(2-2,3) is in the star of Mercury(3-1) and in the sub of Ketu(1).
The 7th cusp sub lord Mars+(4-6,11) is in the star of Moon(2-2,3) and in the sub of Rahu(7).
The 11th cusp sub lord Ketu+ at 1 is in the star of Rahu at 7. Thus all the sub lords of 2-711 houses signifying the required marital houses. Therefore second marriage may be
expected to this querent.
RULE.(II) of second marriage:- Second marriage is indicated if the sub lord of the 2nd
cusp is well connected to either of the houses 7 or 11.
In this horary chart the second cusp sub lord Moon (2-2,3) is in the star of Mercury(3-1)
and in the sub of Ketu(1). Thus 2nd CSL Moon is not connected to 7th . Therefore, this rule is
not satisfied for this querent.
RULE. (III) of second marriage:- As per Kanak Bosmiah Ji:- If the 9th cusp sub lord signifies 2,9 or 11 then the second marriage is promised.
The 9th cusp sub lord Jupiter+(10-7). No planet is in the star of Jupiter and Jupiter is the
CSL of 3-9. Jupiter is in the star of Saturn(4-8,9,10) and in the sub of Venus(4-5,12).
Jupiter+ is a self- strong significator for 9th cusp. Therefore the second marriage is promised
as per this theory.

As per Kanakkjis rule said above, Jupiter having no planets in its stars holding the sub
lordship of 9th cusp signifies 9th strongly as it is in the star of Saturn. But Jupiter is in retrograde motion. Jupiter will become direct on 19th November 2011.
In horary horoscope, planets in retrograde motion, if deposited in the constellation
of a planet which is in direct motion indicates that after some obstacles and delay,
the matter will materialize, when it is in direct motion and passes beyond the point
wherefrom retrograde motion started--- is written in Horary Astrology VI ReaderPage
No.146.
As per this rule, the matter will materialize when Jupiter will become in to direct motion.
Jupiter will be in direct motion on 19-11-2011. Thus I predicted that the second marriage
will take place during the period from 19-11-2011 to 28-02-2011. But my prediction is utterly failed. How?
After exhaustive research the truth which is mentioned hereunder has been found.
Truth after exhaustive research:- At the time of judgment the querent is running Mercury/Ketu/Moon as D/B/A. (Mercury is appearing in the list of Ruling Planets as well as in
the D/B/A. But he is not seen in the list of 2-7-11 significators list). Mercury is not in the
Common Planets list.
So we can predict boldly that second marriage will never occur to this querent. Therefore it
is found that the Mercury period is not favourable for second marriage which ends on 22-11
-2024.
Actual fact: - Even to-day this querent is unmarried after the divorce. Still he is living
alone.
We can learn a lesson from this analysis that promise of an event is not a guarantee
for materialization; even though the cuspal sub lords favour for an event, if the dasa
lords are not found favourable, then the event will not fructify.

Question- 1: Logic Behind Sequence and Allotted Years of Planets in Vimshottari Dasa
In Vimshottari dasa system applied in astrology, different time periods are assigned to
planets, like Venus 20 years, Sun 6 years etc.
What is the logic in this allotment?
Answer - 1:
Sage Parasharas Saying
Regarding Vimshottari dasa system, Maharishi Parashara said in his Brihat Parashara Hora
Shastra, Vol. II, trans. R. Santhanam, Ranjan Publications, 1984, Ch 46 v12-15, p 507:
"In Kali Yuga the natural life span of a human being is generally taken as 120 years.
Therefore, Vimshottari Dasa is considered to be the most appropriate and the best of all. "
"Beginning from Krittika the lords of Dasas (periods) are the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Rahu,
Jupiter. Saturn, Mercury, Ketu and Venus in that order."
"The periods of Dasas of the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury. Ketu
and Venus are 6, l0, 7, 18, 16, 19, l1, 7 and 20 in that order."
Earlier Attempts to Solve Mysteries
The sequence and allotted years for planets in the Vimshottari dasa system are so
mysterious that in earlier attempts of Dr. Kar of the Sub Sub theory and Krushna of KAS
system, the approach in explaining the years allotted to planets is not consistently the same
for all planets.

Not First Attempt

2. This is not the first time attempt to solve the mysteries of sequence and years allotted of
planets in the Vimshottari dasa system since there are at least two earlier attempts as
mentioned above.
Total 120 Years of Vimshotarri Dasa
3. The total 120 years of Vimshotarri dasa is the natural life span of a human being as
clearly said by Sage Prashara.
4. So the 120 year Vimshottari dasa may not be applicable for the nation charts whose life
can be more than one circle of 120 years like USA.
5. In the case of event charts like oath taking charts of presidents, prime ministers, chief
ministers for 4 or 5 year term, launching space mission for a particular period, annual
chart or Hindu new year chart for one year, the relevant 4 or 5 year, particular period or
one year compressed Vimshottari dasa is to be applied.
Years Alloted to Planets
6. The years allotted to planets [in the order of Sun (6 yrs) - Moon(10 yrs) - Mars (7 yrs) Rahu (18 yrs) - Jupiter (16 yrs)- Saturn (19 yrs) - Mercury (17 yrs) Ketu (7 yrs) - Venus
(20yrs)] equal to 4 times of Angulamsha figures assigned to planets in Singhalese (Sri
Lankan) Samudrik Shastra and Angalakshana vs 1/4 of planetary years in Vimshottari
dasa system equal to Angulamsha figures in Singhalese Samudrik Shastra and
Angalakshana don't explain the rationale of years allotted to planets in both this
Singhalese Shastra and Vimshottari dasa. And Singhalese Shastra is without evidence of
original manuscript to believe to be the foundation of Sage Prashara's Vimshottari dasa.

7. Moving along the Zodiac, beginning with Sun, next is Mercury, next Venus, then Earth
along with Moon, Rahu and Ketu; next to Earth is Mars, next is Jupiter, then Saturn.
8. Such taking Rahu (18 years), Mars (7 years), Saturn (19 years) and Jupiter (16 years) to
make a total of 60 years - one half of Vimshottari dasa - in the outer zone of the Earth and
similarly, the other group headed by Ketu (7 years), Venus (20 years), Sun (6 years), Moon
(10 years) and Mercury (17 years) to make a total of 60 years - the other half of
Vimshottari dasa- in the inner zone of Earth, and two groups together making the 120
years of Vimshottari dasa, doesnt explain the rationale of sequence of dasa planets Mars,
Rahu, Jupiter and Saturn in the outer zone and also Mercury, Ketu, Venus, Sun and Moon
in the inner zone according to:
1) distance from Sun, i.e. Sun, Mercury, Venus, Moon and Ketu in the inner zone, and
then Rahu, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in the outer zone; or
1) speeds of planets from the fastest graha to the slowest graham, i.e. Sun (59.1 m
per day), Moon (13 d 10.6 m per day), Mercury (59.1 m per day, Ketu (3.1 m per day)
and Venus (59.1 m per day) in the inner zone, and then Mars (31.4 m per day), Jupiter
(5 m per day), Ketu (3.1 m per day) and Saturn (2 m per day) in the outer zone.

in the solar system in order to make two groups of inner and outer planets of 60 years each.
Quantitative Values of Dasa Periods
12. Whether the rationale of sequence and allotted years of planets in the Vimshottari dasa
is known or unknown, the timing of the dasa periods is changing quantitatively depending
on:
1) starting dasa from Moon or Ascendant,
2) 360 days per year or 365 days per year applied, and
3) ayanamsa used.
13. Results of prediction are not related to known or unknown knowledge of sequence and
allotted years of planets in the Vimshottari dasa. The interpretation of dasa period lords
may be different depending on the system used, Vedic, KP, KB, KCIL, Sub sub theory, SA,
KAS etc.
Time Tested Vimshottari Dasa
14. Without knowing the rationale of sequence and allotted years of planets, the Vimshottari dasa is the most commonly used dasa for timing of events as foreseen by Sage Parashara
because it is time tested really working dasa.
Question- 2: Rasi Chart and House Cusp Chart
In the Astrology and Athrishta 1964 Oct. issue,
Guruji KSK has given very valuable
information and made it easy to know the strength of the horoscope at a glance.
Here he has referred Occupation of planet for many results.
My confusion is Should we take Sign for occupation of planet
occupation ?

Example :
If Jupiter as lord of 12 occupies lagna , Jupiter will not help Lagna results.
Though Jupiter is in lagna sign, all possibility is there of his occupation of 12th-H.
Similarly lagna lords occupation of 6, or 8 or 12 means 6,8,12 signs or Cusp-Houses (in KP
system , for many results we consider Cusp-House )
Please help me in this regard.

Rasi Chart and House Cusp Chart
As shown in the attached example chart of horary no. 237, the South Indian rasi chart
gives the relative rasi positions with boundary lines of rasi after rasi of Hindu zodiac for
correct use of rasi-based Hindu aspects. By inserting the Placidus cusps and placing the
planets in the Placidus houses, the house-based chart denotes the correct occupation and
lordship of planets in finding significators.
For occupation of a planet, Placidus cusp house should be taken:
In this example chart, the 12th house starts from 12th cusp @Aquarius 4:59:26 and ends at
1st cusp @Pisces 11:00; 1st house starts from 1st cusp @Pisces 11:00 and ends at 2nd cusp
@Aries
15:49:56; 2nd house is from 2nd cusp @Aries 15:49:56 to 3rd cusp @ Taurus 14:20:17 and so
on.
Fortuna @Pisces 00:39:55 is in the Lagna rasi but in the 12th house between 12th cusp and
1st cusp. Rahu @Pisces 16:10:38 is also in the Lagna rasi, but in the 1st house between 1st
cusp and 2nd cusp.

For lordship of a house, the lord of the rasi where the cusp falls should be taken:
In this example chart, 1st cusp falls in Pisces rasi and so this rasi lord Jupiter is Lagna lord,
which occupies 8th house; similarly 2nd lord is Mars and 3rd lord Venus.
6th cusp falls in Leo rasi, and so this rasi lord Sun is the lord of 6th house; similarly 8th lord
is Venus and 12th lord Saturn.
In KP Take always Lagna alone!

Is Lagna strong or Moon sign strong? article in Astrology and Athrishta 1964 Oct. issue
pages 36-39 was written at the early stage of KP evolution. This approach is no more in
practice of KP.
In the Krishnamurti Padhdhati, Vol. 2, 1966, Sagar Publications, in some examples like in
pp 82, 118, 255, 261-2, 264, 313, 316, it was ascertained whether Lagna is strong or the
Moon sign, and the Moon sign was taken as the first house in the two examples of pp 118
and 264.
But the further research reveals the correct approach is to take always Lagna alone,
and the correction was made by Guruji KSK in the KP Reader III as quoted below:
KP Reader III, pp 243-4/ 1971 Edition, Practical Part, p 85
Disposal of a House A building is indicated by the 4th house counted from Lagna. Always
count from the Lagna. Never consider whether Moon sign is strong or Lagna is strong. In
the research after 1967 it was found that we have to take always Lagna alone. We
should never Judge which is stronger whether Moon sign or Lagna. The main reason is that
in a twin birth, only the cusps of the house including the ascendant change whereas Moon
is in the same position. What we had been following in KP printed in 1966, is to be give
up.

Why Lagna alone is considered?
Dear Sir,
I find in your Magazine, that since a couple of years, you are not suggesting that the Moon
sign should be taken in case the lagna is afflicted and Moon sign is not. Why?

Answer: Sir, I had been following the above method of taking the unafflicted ascendant or
Moon sign, in case the lagna is afflicted and Moon sign is not. But in my research only in
1965 end, I understood that when twins are born, Moon does not move a single minute,
whereas the lagna alone moves and when the research on the sub-lord, came out
successful to read out the diametrically opposite results among the twins, I have given up
the idea of taking Moon sign, in case lagna is afflicted. It needed reconsideration. So, we
must, whether lagna is afflicted or not, take only the exact position of lagna. If the lagna is
afflicted, then the horoscope has certain defect, and simply because there is that defect, we
should not jump to Moon sign which is auspicious. After having found out this, I have
stopped writing in the above manner, mentioned by you. Therefore, I request all the
readers to take only the lagna and never the Moon sign, whether the lagna is afflicted
or not.

This is one more mundane astrology book written by Indian astrologer, after other already
reviewed mundane astrology books in this magazine, i.e. Practical Mundane Astrology, by J
C Luthra, Sagar Publications, 1990; Time Tested Techniques of Mundane Astrology, by M.S.
Mehta, A. Radhika, guide KN Rao, Vani Publications, 2009; and Mundane Astrology (A Book
For Astrologers), by K.B. Gopalakrishnan, Sagar Publications, 2009.
The first part of this book covers the theoretical aspect of methods of mundane astrology in
general and the signification of mundane houses and the nature and signification of planets
in details. It also includes case studies of seven leading nations, China, Germany, India,
Japan, Russia, United Kingdom and United States of America.
In the case studies, the past events like the 1962 Sino-India war, the 1971 Indo-Pakistan
war and 1991 economic liberalization are discussed on the basis of India Independence
chart, India Republic chart and P.V. Narasimha Rao's chart in the case of India by using
transit charts on the day of events. The Book of World Horoscopes by Nicholas Campion
with its exhaustive work regarding the birth time and dates of nations helped the author to
perform astrological interpretations and observe whether a nation's date of birth alone was
enough to make accurate predictions or to enhance the understanding of past events.
(Preface, p 7) According to the author, a study of P.V. Narasimha Rao's chart shows that the
countrys chart has an overpowering effect on the rulers chart. (p 146)
The second part of this book covers calculated birth charts of all 202 nations of the world in

three formats - South Indian, North Indian and Western to make prediction for any country
of the world. The chart details, birth date, birth time and birth place are also provided for
own calculation and study.
Although the author has studied past events to test the methodology, future predictions are
beyond the scope of this book. He leaves that task to the many able astrologers who could
use the Inclusive Methodology to arrive at predictions in the modern world. (Preface, p 7)
However any effective methodology for mundane prediction other than analysis of planetary
transits cannot be found clearly demonstrated in this book.
