Many City CBSE Schools Record 100% Results
Kalpesh Krishna of Army Public School (APS), Pune, has emerged as the probable topper in science in
the city with 98.2% in the standard XII board examinations conducted by the Central Board of
Secondary Education. The results were announced on Monday at noon. Ishita Gupta of Delhi Public
School (DPS) and Arshiya Salukhe of APS, Pune jointly topped the commerce faulty in Pune with
97.8%.
Sudharshan Rao, Chennai region head, told TOI on Monday that, The list of country topper and state
statistics would be released on Tuesday .
Kalpesh, who has won several medals at various Olympiads since school, said, I was focusing on the
Indian Institute of Technology entrance examination more so preparing for that really helped. I studied
hard for the board exams a month before it began, but I ensured that I would not overdo it. I never
crossed six hours in a day . Also, having a good friend circle is important. I am really grateful to my
teachers, family and friends for all the support.
He stood second in the country during the standard X board examinations and topped the city with
98.2%.
Kalpesh said he took coaching classes for IIT exam preparation but not for the board exams. I appeared
for the IIT Advance examination on Sunday and it went off well. I am looking for a berth in IIT,
Bombay .
Kalpesh was o n his way to Mumbai when the results were declared, to participate in the Astronomy
Olympiad camp, to be conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.
Meanwhile, 262 students appeared for the exam from science, commerce and humanities faculties from
APS, Pune. The school recorded a 100% result and 18 students scored above 95% including ten from
science and eight from commerce faculties. Binita Poonekar, principal of the school, said, This year,
there is a 30% increase in the performance of students. It is the best result so far and I am really proud of
them. Roshni Kadam with 93.6% topped the humanities faculty from APS, Pune.
The DPS also registered a 100% result with 66 students appearing for the exam. All the students scored
a distinction and 33 students scored above 90% marks. While Ishita Gupta topped the com merce faculty
in the city and school with 97.8%, Abhiyuday Puri topped the science faculty in school with 96.6%.
At the APS, Kirkee, Meghna Gadamchetty scored 97.4% to top the science faculty in school. She also
secured total 100 marks in Maths. Lois Thankam Paulson scored 96.4% to top the commerce faculty
where as Nikita Singh scored 91% to top the humanities faculty in the school.
At the DAV Public School, 51 of the total 188 students scored more than 90% marks.
Bhargav Ghanekar with 97.6% topped the school in science faculty and Akanksha Khale with 94% has
topped the school in the commerce stream. The school has registered cent percent results.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), BEG also recorded a 100% result with 143 students appearing for the
examination. Samruddhi Rajesh Raj topped the science faculty with 95.8 % while Nisha Devi scored
93.8 % to top commerce faculty. Kapil Balwani scored 90.4% to top humanities in the school.
The KV , Southern Command has registered a cent percent result for the first time in 20 years. As many
as 159 students appeared for the exam in science and commerce faculties. Krishna Maurya emerged as
the science topper with 96.2% and Saket Baviskar scored 84.4% to emerge as the commerce topper. As
many as 23 students scored more than 90% while 97 students scored a distinction.
In Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ganeshkind, 76 students appeared and passed the exam.
The topper in Science stream is Vishwajeet Uttampal who scored 94.6%, while in the commerce stream,
Ruchika Mujumdar topped with 94.8%.
