ASSESSMENT
In order to assess these tasks, teachers monitor students while doing the activity,
answering doubts and questions regarding instructions, vocabulary and grammar. Also,
teachers keep track of time, telling students how much time is left.
The first activity is checked in the board, asking students for the answers they wrote and
correcting the errors as a class, asking students if they think the answer is right or not.
In order to check the second activity, some students are asked to describe his/her
classmate in front of the class. Teachers correct the mistakes when the description is
finished by asking students, does he/she have?, is he/she?, to the other students so
they classmates give feedback.
Finally, in the third activity, teachers monitor the activity and help students giving them
examples of the possible questions and answers. It is crucial to mention that the school
has several boards of the game Guess Who? in the library, so students have full access
to them. Teachers pay attention and take notes of the mistakes students make. Next
class they give general feedback of the activity (based on students most common
mistakes), making them recognize the incorrect structures they used or any other
problem.
