Platos Socrates is known as one of great philosophers, a sophist, and he was a character

that was unique and distinctive. Athenians have thought that he was different from other
philosophers in the city-state. He has displeased many citizens so much, they decided to dispose
him or have him exiled. We view him as agnostic that might believe in god. Socrates is being
charged as a criminal for his crimes, is trial to his death, and execute him from the society.
Socrates has been charged with corrupting the youth, introduce the new gods, has never respect
the old gods. He plans to argue for his defense in the Athenians courts. He faces with many
accusations that are brought against him during his trial. He never thinks about strategy. Despite
the fact he is charged, Socrates decides he wants to defend himself in courts and explain the
reasons for his opinions and his actions. The results did not change the justifications.
Socrates have insulted and angered many Athenians with the most offense with his
discussions and influences. He addresses and challenges these ideas to his audience, which
many people, dislike and could not forgive him for these issues. According to the Athenians,
many have criticized the philosopher as an evil doer, a martyr, and make his situation even
worse.
In his defense, Socrates does not provide a persuading argument. It sounds that neither satisfying
nor pleasing to his jury. The more he tries to prove his verdict; but, he did not force these ideas
upon the people of Athens. His reasons describe that people have choices to choose to believe in
certain issues.
Plato writes that "In that case: whats loved by the gods is pious, and whats not loved by
the gods is impious." (Plato, Apology 283-284) Euthyphro explains that piety is including part of
in the justice system because it involves the gods to be part of. Athenians use this justice to
justified Socrates' wrongdoings. We are unsatisfied with the answer; therefore, this means that

there is no respect for the gods, which men can make the gods better than they are. Euthyphro
states that there are various ways in which men can ministers to the gods, Socrates is restricted to
the time he has.
Crito says that Besides, Socrates , I think that what youre doing isnt just: throwing
away your life, when you could save it, and hastening the very sort of fate for yourself that your
enemies would hasten and indeed have hastened in their wish to destroy you. (Plato,
Apology 1542-1544) Socrates believes that he could not persuade his audience to become
friendlier. They vote for his death penalty than choose to convict him. Socrates had the ability to
offend and irritate the people. He acknowledges that he was destined to be a wisest man in the
world. He argues that there is no person wiser than himself. Crito tries to convince his friend;
Alternatively, Socrates is jeopardizing his life, when he could savory it, instead he is shorting his
life. Many citizens did not like Socrates rampage to spread his ideas to the city. This would
lead to his death even quickly.
Socrates writes that "that belief with me and whether the following is the starting point of
our deliberations: that its never right to do injustice, or to do injustice in return, or to retaliate
with bad treatment when one has been treated badly." (Plato, Apology 1650-1652) I think he
means that he wanted to questions the things people already have beliefs in. He wants to prove
that he could prove them something completely opposite to those beliefs. Athenians have many
traditional practices, which is taught to the youth, holds an important value and scared. Socrates,
who doesnt believe the land of the gods, he makes a fool out of his own people.
According to Socrates, he expresses his defense at the trial. It was not enough to
convince these people because they show no wisdom or intelligence. I emphasized that no one

deeply understood Socrates accusations. Athenians citizens have no hard evidence to allow the
death of Socrates.
Socrates is the enemy of democracy, he is concern about his own opinion, hold it very
dearly. He is a person who cannot be persuaded. He would not accept other opinions except his
own. I think Socrates is an egocentric character because he accepts the responsibility of being
executed. The death of the philosopher plays a significant factor because he was willing to die
for having his own beliefs. Nonetheless of his words and his attitudes, I believe that he did not
deserve to die for his beliefs. I understand the accusers problem with Socrates because they do
not approve of Socrates attitude. I disagree with Socrates being law-biding citizen because
Athenians law relates with religion of god; therefore, if Socrates mocks that, questions it, or
throws his opinion on it, then he is breaking their bylaws.
