SPECIAL REPORT/S:
i.
Councilor Zaldy O. Ocon reported that last Friday, DILG Secretary Mar Roxas was in the City to
distribute police patrol cars to various police offices in the region, yet not even one unit was
given to the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, among other things.
Action taken:
The Body adopted Resolution No. 12087-2015.
ii. Councilor Nadya B. Emano-Elipe asked what had happened to the Citys rescue program for
mentally-deranged and elderly persons seen roaming around and sleeping anywhere in the City,
saying that in the previous administration, City DSWD personnel would rescue them, bring to
the temporary shelter, and be given food, among other services.
Action taken:
The report was referred to the Committee on Social Services for the committee
to inquire what had happened to the rescue program and to the temporary
shelter provided for the purpose.
iii. Councilor Leon D. M. Gan, Jr. reported the complaint of some officers of Senior Citizens that an
amount of P400 had been deducted from their P1,000 quarterly honorarium allegedly for food,
and wanted to be enlightened as to who ordered such deduction and who is catering for the
food during the quarterly meeting, among other things.
Action taken: The report and all the reactions thereof were referred to the Committee on
Senior Citizens to look into such complaint.
iv. Councilor President D. Elipe reported that the Committee on Finance had not received from the
Executive Department any request for the grant and/or release of the Productivity Enhancement
Incentive, either in partial or in full, adding that the City Council will not object to the release
thereof. He said he made such manifestation in response to the pronouncement of the City
Mayor that the City Council is blocking the release of such incentive.
Action taken: The Presiding Officer asked the Secretariat that such report be given the widest
dissemination, particularly among City Hall employees, through the City Council
publications.
