Lesson aims:

To read about different articles in newspapers;


To discuss and express opinions about different pictures;
To develop students ability to write about their dreams and ambitions;
To read a text using the correct intonation and pronunciation;
To present and practice Second Conditional

Procedure:

Warming up activity:

The teacher familiarizes the students with the topic they are going to
discuss and asks the students some questions about comics and magazines they
read. The students are asked to talk about comics and magazines and give
examples of their favorite comic characters.
The teacher helps them with any necessary words or expressions.
Timing: 10 minutes

Activity 1:

The students take turns in reading the magazine page and in pairs they
have to identify the type and topics of the things on the magazine page.
The teacher assesses their work and helps them with words and expressions
where necessary.

Activity 2:

The teacher asks the students to look at the cartoon pictures with Lula and
try to guess what she is saying individually.
Then, in groups of 3-4, they look at each others sentences and decide
which are best.

Activity 3:

In pairs, students are asked to read the letter in the worksheet given and fill
in the gaps.
Then students take turns in reading the letter and answer the
comprehension questions.

The students are asked to look at the adjectives in exercise C and put them
into four groups according to their meaning.
