FSAE (Formula Society of Automotive Engineers) (Mar, 2007 - Aug, 2008) :
Description :
Biggest sponsored student project in IIT; spanning over 16 months
Conceived, designed and fabricated the braking assembly, transmission system, gear shifting
mechanism and car controls of a student Formula racing car
Co-designed and manufactured the impact attenuator and steering wheel assembly
Collaborated with 9 people from various departments to successfully build 'AXLR8R', a racing car
Achievements :
Showcased at 28 th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2008, I2 Tech 2008 (Open House, IIT Delhi),
AutoExpo 2008, Rendezvous 2008, Nissan Expo 2008 and Tryst 2008

Analysis of Modal Particiaption Factors and earthquake sensitivity parameters. (May, 2009 - Present) :
Project aims at calculating and analysing ground sensitivity parameters for uneven lands and hilly regions
to facilitate better earthquake resistant structures
Exhaustively reviewd literature. Simulated Rankine's model for linear soil profiles in Matlab
Currently working on developing a model for non-linear profiles with variable stiffness
Impact of Black Carbon on Global warming, Department of Atmospheric Sciences (Jan, 2009 - Mar, 2009) :
Worked out the global warming coefficients of Black Carbon and predicted its impact on climate change
Presented a Technical Poster on the same at I2 Tech 2009 (Open House, IIT Delhi)

Metro Tunneling Group, Larsen and Toubro Limited, New Delhi (May, 2009 - July, 2009) :
Modelled diaphragm walls, soldier piling, designed culverts and performed structure feasibility studies
Analysed New Austrian Tunneling method (NATM) within the scope of Indian sub surface terrain
Achievements:
Designed box culverts for safe passegway of water underneath the metro tracks, reducing overall
manufacturing cost by 40%
Proposed on site Quality Control measures for waterproofing, shortcreting and prepared Hazard
Identification and Risk assessment charts. Measures adopted by L&T ECC
Achieved 10% reduction in transportation cots by detailed survey of supply chain across 15 metro sites.
