in Plumsted accused in fatal stabbing of his wife
ANDREW FORD @ANDREWFORDNEWS
PLUMSTED As he lay in a hospital in critical condition, Arthur Haskoor was charged with murdering his
wife.
Susanne Haskoor, 47, was found dead of apparent
stab wounds in the couples driveway Tuesday morning.
After a standoff, Arthur Haskoor was found unconscious inside their home.
Authorities announced Wednesday that Arthur Haskoor, 56, was charged with murder and possession of a
weapon for an unlawful purpose, according to a release

from the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.

Police found Susanne Haskoor dead about 10 a.m.
Tuesday at the couples home at 120 Evergreen Road.
They found a note on the door of the home saying Arthur Haskoor was armed and would hurt anyone who
came inside.
Police surrounded the home for 4 hours before
sending a robot inside. The robot found Arthur Haskoor unconscious in the garage and he was airlifted to
Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

LAKEWOOD It seems only fitting that a forum called to talk
about how to ease congestion on Route 9 would result in a bottleneck getting into the meeting room.
Hundreds jammed the conference room to talk about how to
improve traffic flow on the busy roadway, bringing probing
questions, detailed suggestions for easing congestion, and war
stories from the front lines of the daily battle with Route 9 gridlock.
The heavy turnout is an indicator of how critical an issue
Route 9 has become for local residents like Jacob Leitman, who
lives just off the highway in the southern end of town.
I think since 2010 its gotten steadily worse, said Leitman,
39. People are just building more businesses (and) more housing and a lot of schools in that area.

BELMAR The story of the waitress who got a

taunting message instead of a tip has gone international, and prompted more than a dozen people from
across the United States to come forward and offer to
pay her the gratuity instead.
Jess Jones, 20, a Rutgers University student who is
waiting tables at DJais Bar & Grill this summer to
help pay her way through school, had first taken to
Facebook to recount the indignity she suffered. Over
the weekend, Jones agreed to allow APP.com and the
Asbury Park Press to share her post with its readers.
By Monday night, it was trending on Facebook
and people nationwide were sharing Jones outrage.
