Girls
I remember coming across this on On Demand one day. Not one to miss a potential new favorite, I gave it
a shot. All I remember is an opening credit, and the next thing I knew I saw a couple going at it like
monkeys. I dont care if a show has sex scenes. Hell, Im married. Sex is nothing new to me. What I
absolutely dont like is when a show tries to beat into your brain that whatever given group of people are
quite sexually active. Whats the point?
From what I can gather, its an excuse for creator/actress Lena Dunham to get naked. Im all for
empowering women, but even I have my limits. Every episode is the characters trying to navigate through
being single, or something. Take away what little wit and actual funny moments that were in Sex and the
City, and you have Girls.
10. Skins (Channel 4)
Forget MTVs lame remake, Channel 4s original Skins series was an unapologetic look at the sexual
exploits of teenagers. Offering a much more realistic look at the modern teenage lifestyle than most TV
shows dared to tread, the characters smoke, drink, text and screw their way through college without a
care in the world. This usually led to some pretty dark places as the shows storylines bounced between
reckless teenage abandon and reality biting consequences, but that didnt seem to slow down the bedswapping teenagers. The series regularly switched focus and featured different generations of
characters, so thankfully audiences didnt have to worry about the show changing course and moving
away from teenagers making terrible decisions.
9. Californication (Showtime)
Comedy-drama Californication features David Duchovny as Hank Moody; a novelist suffering from writers
block who fills his time with sex, drugs and booze. After watching just a few episodes it becomes pretty
clear why Hank doesnt get much writing done as he manages to effortlessly pull beautiful young woman
after beautiful young woman. The show does sometimes revell too much in its own debauchery with little
concern about pushing plot or character development forward, and as much of a sex symbol as David
Duchovny is (or was), you do wonder how he does it. However, if its nudity and sex youre after, you cant
really go wrong with Californication. For those keeping track, one blog tallied up Hanks on screen sexual
antics and found that he was up to 26 women by the end of season 5 not bad.
8. Oz (HBO)
Oz was a HBO drama which had viewers talking more about the sex and male nudity in the show than the
actual storylines and characters. Set inside a high security prison, the over-the-top storylines, flip flopping
character arcs and on-and-off again relationships made it more of a soap opera than the hard-hitting
drama it tried to be. However, even if it wasnt very realistic, the show was endlessly watchable and a true
guilty pleasure. Full frontal nudity, same sex relationships and scenes of male rape dominated many
episodes, and its fair to say that most regular viewers probably became desensitized to the harsh
realities of prison life. The gritty show required most of its male actors to bare all at one point or another,
and there was always plenty on display in the prison shower scenes.
7. The Tudors (Showtime)
Most historical TV shows focus on posh people in frumpy corsets walking around dank castles, but the
Tudors added some much needed passion and sexual tension to the stuffy mix. Covering the reign of
Henry VIII (well, set during his earlier years when the portly king wasnt quite so portly), the Tudors still
had all the back-stabbing, secret plotting and political intrigue of any good historical drama, but its
unabashed sexiness set it apart from all the others. Forget about Kate and Pippa Middleton, the Tudors
has all the sex you could even want from the British monarchy.
6. Queer as Folk (Channel 4)
Realistic portrayals of gay relationships are fairly well-represented on TV nowadays, but that wasnt
always the case. Running for two seasons in the late 90s/early 00s on Channel 4 (an American remake
quickly followed), Queer as Folk courted controversy for its unapologetically frank depiction of gay sex.
The show was applauded for avoiding the broad stereotypes typically associated with gay characters, but
the explicit gay sex scenes riled some viewers and critics. Many took particular offense to the fact that

one of the main characters, Nathan (played by future Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam), was an
underage 15-year-old looking to explore the gay scene. The shows producers defended themselves
stating that the sex scenes werent any more explicit than those shown by other adult dramas in the same
timeslot, but clearly most viewers just werent ready to see two barebacked men engaging in a
reacharound in a sweaty bedroom.
5. Spartacus (Starz)
Often unfairly likened to HBOs own sword and sandals series Rome, Starz networks take on Roman
history had a lot of its own merits. Although Rome was always the more prestigious and high-budget of
the two (with plenty of sex and nudity, too), Spartacus never had a problem in embracing its over-the-top
side, especially when it came to violence and nudity. Historically accurate in the sense that most of its
characters, from lowly slaves and gladiators to high-ranking generals and their wives, wore very little
indeed, Spartacus features all the origes, bathouse frolicks and sexual experimentation one would expect
from the sex-obsessed Roman empire.
4. Secret Diary of a Call Girl (ITV)
Based on a popular blog and series of books by the anonymous writer Belle Du Jour, British comedy
drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl stars former Dr Who companion Billie Piper as the titular high class
escort whose secret life is full of memorable clients and lots of sex. Piper wasnt shy in showing off her
freakier side (although she did use a body double when she was filming one of the series while pregnant),
especially when it came to some of the less vanilla tastes of her fictional clients. With episodes featuring
BDSM, threesomes, adult baby role play and much more, Secret Diary of a Call Girl was one of the
hottest British late night dramas.
3. Sex and the City (HBO)
Few shows have been as open and revealing about sex and relationships from a female perspective as
Sex and the City. Often unfairly regarded as just another girly show, Sex and the City was a
groundbreaking look at female friendship. Thanks to its home on adult network HBO, the show didnt have
to be coy about making innuendos or not-so-subtle hints about what the characters were really talking
about. Whether the girls were discussing or having flirtatious back and forths with a stranger, one night
stands or long-term relationships, the shows mature and honest attitude towards sex was refreshing. Of
course, seeing as the show spent a lot of time in the bedroom (and other places), nudity from the main
actresses and actors was pretty much a given in most episodes.
2. True Blood (HBO)
The Twilight craze reignited the vampire genre and sparked new interest in love triangles which involved
the undead and innocent humans who took a fancy to pale-faced men with oversized fangs. Those who
were already sick to death of the new tweeny genre probably werent looking forward to an entire TV
show which revolved around the premise, but HBOs True Blood was a much more mature take on these
freaky love trysts. Like other ensembles on the adult network, the cast arent shy in gyrating around stark
naked in front of the camera, particularly stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgrd
(three characters who have a much more intimate relationship than Team Edward and Team Jacob could
even dream of). The show even brought a creative touch to its sex scenes as characters use vampire
blood (or V) to engage in some trippy, mind-blowing under the sheets action. this website even made a
top 10 sex scenes in True Blood!
1. Game of Thrones (HBO)
Theres no denying that a huge contributing factor to the popularity of Game of Thrones is its gratuitous
scenes of nudity and violence. The big budget fantasy drama has become one of the biggest TV hits in
recent memory and, like other shows on this list, its home at HBO has let it get away with some pretty
explicit content. Unlike most fantasy shows, Game of Thrones has become a crossover hit with viewers
who arent typically fans of the genre. Although it features the likes of dragons, magic, undead creatures
and a medieval-style setting, the show feels far removed from the usual nerdy stereotypes associated
with a fantasy story. Male and female actors alike spend a considerable amount of time baring all to the
camera and the show spends plenty of time exploring weird sexual relationships (such as incest) and
appetites. A video of all nudity in the first two season of the show is 16 minutes long! The video of the four

season up till now is at least twice as long. Our friends at WhatCulture made this funny Awkard sex
scenes top 10 in GoT.

Homosexual content - qixip

ABC, Starz, Netflix

29. Claire, Frank, and Meechum, House of Cards

Netflix / Via buzzfeed.com

When it happened: Season 2, Episode 11, Chapter 24
What made it hot: OK, lets be honest, parts of this scene were not hot. Mainly because Frank and Claire
are so lecherous around poor, drunk Meechum that you start to worry for his safety. And this was also
insanely PG, as far as threesome scenes go. But a threesome with three hot people is still a threesome,
and ya gotta give some credit for that.
28. Rachel and Paul, Orphan Black

BBC

BBC

When it happened: Season 2, Episode 5, Ipsa Scientia Potestas

What made it hot: In a lot of ways, this sex is satisfying solely for Rachel, who goes all dominatrix and
uses Paul as her sex robot. While we, as viewers, are forced to watch and pray for Paul.
27. Meredith and Derek, Greys Anatomy

ABC

When it happened: Season 11, Episode 6, Dont Lets Start

What made it hot: At one point Meredith looks pained at what appears to be soap in her eyes mid-coitus.
So, OK, this is not a totally sexy scene, and may actually support the idea that shower sex should only be
reserved for your ~fantasy~ life. Still, it was a SOLID minute of sexy times, and that should count for
something.
26. Hannibal, Alana, and Will Graham, Hannibal

NBC

When it happened: Season 2, Episode 10, Naka-Choko

What made it hot: Apparently its hard to make threesomes hot on TV, and Alana was really just an
accessory to what was truly Hannibal and Will having sex. It was strange, and beautiful, and I just hope
Bryan Fuller makes it happen again. ::: prays to the Fuller gods :::
25. Ali and Derek, Transparent

Amazon
When it happened: Season 1, Episode 2, The Letting Go
What made it hot: First of all, Ali was doing squats on Dereksbits. SQUATS. I mean, hes her trainer, so
its sort of fitting, but stillsex squats! This is the best kind of exercise motivation Ive ever seen.
24. Nichols and her ~Mystery Lady~, Orange Is the New Black

Netflix
When it happened: Season 2, Episode 3, Hugs Can Be Deceiving
What made it hot: To be fair, who doesnt want to have sex with Nichols at this point? Girl can get you off
in a church, on a dorm-style bed, and apparently in a prison shower while other people listen in.
23. Betty and Helen, Masters of Sex

Showtime
When it happened: Season 2, Episode 6, Blackbird
What made it hot: Weve seen Betty have sex before, but this is the first time we see her actually enjoy it.
That being said, the whole mood is pretty spoiled once Betty brings up her pesky husband.
22. Detective Marty Hart and Lisa, True Detective

HBO

When it happened: Season 1, Episode 2, Seeing Things

What made it hot: It seems like Martys forms of release are beer, and cheating on his beautiful wife. But it
is pretty hot to see him use his energy on things like, say, Lisas bum.
21. Danny and Mindy on The Mindy Project

FoxWhen it happened: Season 3, Episode 1, Were a Couple Now, Hates!

What made it hot: Bless Mindy Kaling, but she is not why this scene was hot. The scene is hot because of
Danny. Stripping. And. Dancing. So, OK, we dont see much after that, but it doesnt matter, because the
dancing lets our hearts do all the imagining we need.
20. Wes and Rebecca, How to Get Away With Murder

ABC
When it happened: Season 1, Episode 7, He Deserved to Die
What made it hot: Right before Wes and Rebecca get all hot and bothered, they spend the night
screaming at each other. I dunno, maybe its just me, but makeup sex sounds like the best way to solve
an argument.
19. Mellie and Andrew, Scandal

ABC
When it happened: Season 3, Episode 15, Mama Said Knock You Out
What made it hot: Poor Mellie, its not easy being the first lady! Especially when your husband insists on
keeping a mistress and making you miserable every day of your life. But then the sun shined and brought
Andrew back to Mellies life, and bed It was a well-deserved bone.
18. Poussey and her ~German Girlfriend~, Orange Is the New Black

Netflix
When it happened: Season 2, Episode 6, You Also Have a Pizza
What made it hot: Nothing is more upsetting than Pousseys unrequited love for Taystee. So to see this
flashback, where Poussey is actually happy (aka trying to scissor) and with someone who appreciates
her, was totally worth it.
17. Claire and Frank, Outlander

Sony Pictures Television

When it happened: Season 1, Episode 1, Sassenach
What made it hot: Things we learn in the pilot of Outlander include that Claires two main loves in life are
sex and wine. (Preach!) But the best part of her love of sex is that she tends to be the one in charge, and
her scene of cunnilingus with Frank is pretty life-changing.
16. Libby and Robert, Masters of Sex

Showtime
When it happened: Season 2, Episode 11, One for the Money, Two for the Show
What made it hot: Everyone is getting laid on Masters of Sex EXCEPT Libby. But in One for the Money,
Two for the Show she finally gets it on with Robert. Her libido has been building for a good two seasons,
and to see her having so much fun was a pleasant time indeed.
15. Piper and Alex, Orange Is the New Black

Netflix
When it happened: Season 2, Episode 10, Little Mustachioed Shit
What made it hot: This flashback was one of the few moments where we got to see Piper and Alex
together in Season 2, and seeing how free Alex was outside of prison was a definite bonus.
14. Patrick and Richie, Looking

HBO
When it happened: Season 1, Episode 4, Looking for $220/Hour
What made it hot: Rimming was huge in 2014, and on Looking they went for it with Patrick and Richies
graphic and sexy as hell scene. (Plus, it was also really fun to see Patrick getting into sex when hes
usually so awkward about it.)
13. Annalise and Nate, How to Get Away With Murder

ABC

When it happened: Season 1, Episode 9, Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me

What made it hot: Sure, weve seen Nate go downtown on Annalise, but this is the first time we see them
really get into it. And whats not to love about a little sex against a wall? And on a couch? And all over the
damn apartment, really.
12. Rachel and Lisa, House of Cards

Netflix
When it happened: Season 2, Episode 11, Chapter 24
What made it hot: Aside from the fact that mommy issue-ridden Doug Stamper was secretly watching
them, its a hot scene. Rachel has been without friends, family, and a life for so long that seeing her finally
GET HERS with Lisa was a welcome refresher.
11. Megan, Don, and their new naked friend, Amy, Mad Men

AMC / Via uproxx.com

When it happened: Season 7, Episode 5, The Runaways

What made it hot: Don Draper, never change. Especially when you visit your wife in Los Angeles.
Because apparently, when Megan welcomes you home, she brings friends, and those friends hate
clothes.
10. Nichols and Soso, Orange Is the New Black

Netflix
When it happened: Season 2, Episode 4, A Whole Other Hole
What made it hot: Les-be-honest: Nichols makes all things hot. Even when shes going down on Soso,
who literally will not shut the fuck up. (Until Nichols finds a way to definitely make her shut up. Im talking
about cunnilingus, folks.)
9. Sarah and Tammy, Transparent

Amazon

When it happened: Season 1, Episode 2, The Letting Go

What made it hot: From the moment you see Sarah and Tammy in the same room, you kinda know
theyre going to hook up, because theres just something clearly between them. And when they do hook
up, its clear that they should be hooking up on the regular. (Or rather, this is my hope.)
8. Angela and James Ghost, Power
Starz

When it happened: Season 1, Episode 7, Loyalty

What made it hot: Ghost is having an affair with Angela, which youd think would make you feel bad about
watching this. But, no, I dont feel bad at all actually.
7. Mary Jane and Andre, Being Mary Jane

BET
When it happened: Season 1, Episode 1, Pilot
What made it hot: These are legit just two beautiful people, who are wet, and all over each other in the
most wonderful way possible. This scene makes you want to be them. Or the shower curtain. Or the
water. Literally anything as long as youre WITH THEM.
6. Connor and the ~Copy Room Guy~, How to Get Away With Murder

When it happened: Season 1, Episode 4, Lets Get to Scooping

What made it hot: Two guys. One copy room. Nuff said. Except theres more to say, especially when
Connor listens to the Copy Room Guy describe part of their sexcapade by saying, And he did this thing
to my ass that made my eyes water.

5. Detective Rust Cohle and Maggie, True Detective

HBO
When it happened: Season 1, Episode 6, Haunted Houses
What made it hot: Up until the moment when Rust and Maggie have sex, we dont quite know what tore
Rust and Marty apart. Whoops! Turns out its boning. Hot, countertop boning.
4. Daenerys and Daario, Game of Thrones

HBO

When it happened: Season 4, Episode 7, Mockingbird

What made it hot: This is hot because a) two beautiful people, b) Daario views Khaleesi as the only
woman for him, and c) She orders him to remove his clothes and HE TOTALLY OBEYS. (Actually, Im
pretty sure my pants just fell off while watching these GIFs.)
3. James and Tasha, Power

Starz
When it happened: Season 1, Episode 5, I Gotta Go
What made it hot: I mean sweet sassy molassey Jamess ass is the biggest asset of this series.
Nothing made that more clear than when Tasha so graciously showed us by removing his clothes. Thank
you, Tasha, for being so kind and generous. #trulyblessed
2. Eric and Jason, True Blood

HBO / Via blaineswolf.tumblr.com

When it happened: Season 7, Episode 2, I Found You
What made it hot: OK, sure, this EXTREMELY HOT scene was all part of a fever dream Jason had, but
arent sex dreams kinda the best anyway? Plus to see Jason taking charge of Eric I die. Im dead now.
A vampire, actually. So maybe I can also have these fever dreams, please?!
1. Claire and Jamie, Outlander

Sony Pictures Television

When it happened: Season 1, Episode 7, The Wedding
What made it hot: My mouth actually fills with drool when I remember this scene. Because this scene of
Claire and Jamie consummating their marriage actually lasts an entire episode. It involves a raging fire (in
the hearth and their loins), and a lot of shots of Jamies butt that will leave you feeling thirstier than youve
ever felt. (Incidentally, the only way to quench that thirst will be to rewatch the episode roughly a dozen or
so times. Trust me, I speak from experience.)
