Different Organizations and Associations of Management in the

Philippines
1. People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP)
The People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) is strictly a
professional, non-stock, not-for-profit organization of over 1,800 member companies and
individual management executives engaged or interested in Human Resource
Management (HRM) and Industrial Relations (IR) work. Founded more than 56 years
ago, PMAP continue the tradition of its forefathers in advancing the profession, the
science, and the art of Human Resource Management. As a professional association,
PMAP helps institutions mold an enlightened, competent, socially responsible, and
influential sector of people managers who can effectively participate in nation-building.
PMAP also helps its members become more effective on the job by teaching the human
aspect of management via numerous career development forums and training programs.
2. Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP)
The Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP) is a national
youth organization, guided by the People Management Association of the Philippines
(PMAP), that commits to develop and empower its members to enable them grow from
academic to professional level as future People Managers of society.
3. Management Association of the Philippines (MAP)
The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) is a management organization
committed to promoting management excellence. There are about 900 members of the
MAP who represent a cross-section of CEOs, COOs and other top executives from the
top local and multinational companies operating in the country, including some top
officials of government and the academe.
4. Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines
The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) was founded in 1955 and
has since grown into a network of over 600 rural bank members nationwide. The
Microenterprise Access to Banking Services (MABS) Program was launched in 1997
through which RBAP has assisted over 100 rural banks with more than 1,000 branches
and other bank offices to develop microfinance products and services. Among these
financial services are microloans, micro-deposits, remittances, mobile phone banking

services and microinsurance. The Rural Bankers Development Foundation, Inc.


(RBRDFI), the Association's technical support and training arm, is leading the
Association's new microinsurance initiative.
5. Philippine Marketing Association
The principal purposes of the Association are to develop and promote Marketing as a
science and a profession guided principally by the universal principles of ethics,
corporate citizenship and corporate social responsibility and to serve as a policy-making
and re commendatory arm of the government on Marketing related issues.
