In Denmark, people put a flag outside their window to show that somebody
in the house is having a birthday. The family put presents around the childs
bed when he is sleeping. When the child wakes up, he is very happy
because he can see the presents.

In Nepal, people make a special mark on the childs forehead. The mark is
made from a mixture of rice, yoghurt and coloring. People think that the
mark will bring good luck on their birthday.

In Vietnam, people dont celebrate the exact day of their birthday.


Everybody celebrates their birthday on the same day New Years Day. On
the first morning of the New Year, parents give their children red envelopes.

In England, when its your birthday, your friends will sometimes give you

reach your ankles".

When a girl turns 15 there is a great celebration and the girl wears a pink

the waltz with her while 14 maids and 14 boys also dance the waltz.
