The Crescent
Complex
Azerbaijan
Located on Bakus waterfront, the
Crescent development is a prestigious
mixed-use complex in the heart of
Azerbaijans capital. Upon completion,
the Crescent will comprise two
residential and commercial towers
complimented by retail facilities and
an off-shore, seven-star hotel on
a small island in the Caspian Sea.
AECOM is providing design, project, and
construction management services,
along with architectural, structural, and
building engineering services for both
the on-shore and off-shore elements
of the development. The master plan
and design have been substantially
completed, and construction works
started in March 2013. The Crescent
is scheduled for completion in 2017.

L69 Moscow
Russia
The L69 development comprises several
residential towers on the Moscow
waterfront. The design maximises
the unique setting while creating a
landmark gateway and an exclusive, new
residential community. The towers sit
on either side of an attractive, shared
garden, which forms a centrepiece for
the design. High quality external spaces,
such as the garden and a waterfront
promenade, are important as they
create a variety of recreational and
relaxing outdoor environments. AECOM
is the General Designer, providing
both architectural and full engineering
services, and also undertakes master
planning, architectural concept
design, landscape design, and interior
design services for the project.

JadeWeserPort
Germany
JadeWeserPort was officially
opened 21 September 2012. During
its construction, it was the largest
harbour project in Germany, and one
of the largest infrastructure projects
to be undertaken in the past fifty
years in the country. Positioned
in Wilhelmshaven on a bay on the
North Sea coast, the port operates
as the easternmost deep-water
container port in Europe, and the
only deep-water port in Germany.
It is able to provide berths for large
commercial container ships traversing
the North Sea to and from Russia,
Scandinavia, and the Baltic States.
AECOM provided co-ordination,
controlling and supervisory services
for the JadeWeserPort project.

Air Force Base

in Ramstein
Germany
On behalf of the United States Air Force,
AECOM provides general architectural
and engineering services for the
Kaiserslautern Military Community
(KMC). The KMC is stationed at the
Ramstein Air Base in southwestern
Germany. The base serves as the
headquarters for the United States
Air Force in Europe and Africa and
is also a NATO installation. AECOM
renders multi-discipline services
required for the design of various
US military buildings, structures
and facilities. Specific disciplines
range from general architectural
services, interior design and space
planning, and landscape architecture
to electrical, civil, and mechanical
engineering. Design work can involve
major and minor constructions and the
rehabilitation of various structures.

Hazard Studies
for 40 Hydro Dams
France
From 2010 to 2014, AECOM performed
hazard studies for forty hydro
dams operated by EDF in France.
The work involved preliminary risk
evaluations and detailed analyses
in line with French regulations. Risk
evaluation meetings based on EDFs
methodology were held with groups
of experts from both AECOM and EDF,
and were followed by write ups of
the dam safety reports. The project
comprised dams, canals, and complex
facilities on the Rhine River, such as
a hydroelectric factory, locks and a
mobile dam. Locations spanned from
the French Alps and the Pyrenees to
central and eastern France, as well
as overseas territory such as French
Guiana. The structure hazards were
analysed in standard operation and
in spate management conditions.
