YOU ARE ENTERING THE BATTLE ZONE
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in
the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of
God, that you may be able to stand against the
wiles of the devil… praying always with all prayer
and supplication...” Ephesians 6:10-11, 18 (NKJV)
We are so grateful for YOU! Thank you for
accepting God’s call on your life and for joining us in
battle! Over the past few months it has been
evident that we are engaged in spiritual warfare, and as we get closer to our destination,
the fighting only intensifies. So we need you to be fully engaged as well– we can’t fight this
battle alone. Robert Glover says, “from Pentecost and the apostle Paul, right down through
the centuries to the present day, the story of missions has been the story of answered
prayer. Every fresh outbreak of missionary energy has been the result of believing prayer.”
What a statement! Doesn’t that make you want to fall down on your knees and get
praying?
Our dear friend, Joanna, is one who is
committed to fighting for us. Not only is she a dear
friend and a financial supporter– she is Seth’s prayer
buddy! What I love about her commitment is that
anytime Seth gets sick (which is often, poor little
guy), I know I can text Joanna and she’ll be praying!
And as you can see in the picture above, she has a
prayer wall to help her remember the missionaries
and friends for whom she is called to intercede.
Having prayer partners lightens our load and gives you a specific prayer focus. Will
you ask God how He would have you partner with us in prayer? Perhaps its every
Monday, or maybe the 13th of each month, or it could be for one of our family members
specifically. However He is calling ,we are already grateful; we can’t do this without you.
But this isn’t a ministry into which you can enter lightly– this is a battle zone. Take time to
prepare your hearts for this ministry of intercession, clothe yourself in His armor, and walk
with Him to the frontlines. Are you ready for a wild ride?
You Can Do It!

First, cultivate your own
personal walk with the Lord– go
deeper in the Word, spend more
time in prayer, and be an active
participant in a local church.
Second, dust off your Sword,
and get memorizing! We encourage
Prayer Requests:
• Take time to put on your armor
each day.
• Pray for Heritage International
School as they are facing heavy
taxes and need God to intervene.
• Pray especially for Seth’s health
• Pray for missionaries around the
world who are in the cross hairs of
you to memorize key Scripture
promises and truths for the Holy
Spirit to use in battle! Check our

Third, be more
intentional in prayer.

We will not be attending Mission Training Institute in
April as we need to be 50 percent funded (we’re at 43
percent) in order to register. Pray that we meet that
goal soon! We are praying to be in Uganda in August
so that we don’t miss the beginning of school. Josh is
preaching at the Delanco Retreat in April; the theme is
“Call of Duty”! And we are also looking for ways to
connect with our supporting churches and new
champions– could your small group host us? Could we
join your church for a fellowship dinner? E-mail us!

Satan’s attack. Watch Us Grow!

Caleb’s creativity, imagination, and spirit are all growing in leaps and bounds! He is introducing us to his new imaginary
friends and creating games to play with Seth. He’s really thinking on his own and beginning to ask good questions. But what
encourages me most is that he is already beginning to see his need for Jesus! As we encounter tough days and lengthy illness, he often
asks to “read Jesus” (ie. the Bible). We pray together and watch as he allows Jesus to make his heart happy!

Seth is devouring books with gusto. He will sit in his reading corner for thirty minutes just looking at books or he will ask me
to read book after book, and he has the vocabulary to prove it! In a couple months I can envision Seth and Caleb embarking on
imaginary worlds, just as we embark on our missions journey! Whatever his current passion, Seth is
single-minded!

“As we seek to find out why, with such millions of Christians, the real army of God that is fighting the
hosts of darkness is so small, the only answer is – lack of heart. The enthusiasm of the kingdom is
missing. And that is because there is so little enthusiasm for the King”. (Andrew Murray). Josh and I
are trying to be more intentional about our time with the Lord, so that our enthusiasm for the King is
