Obiective
- raise students awareness about the importance of studying
English;
- help students reflect about the different learning styles and
abilities.

When the students finish studying this unit, they will be able
to:
- introduce themselves and their friends;
- greet people;
- speak on the phone;
- describe peoples appearance;
- speak about what they/other people like doing.
When the students finish studying this unit, they will be able
to:
- describe homes and activities they do at home;
- describe their room;
- tell the time in English;
- ask and answer about daily programmes.

When the students finish studying this unit, they will be able
to:
- read and speak about timetables;
- describe and compare different means of transport;
- ask for directions/follow directions;
ask for things in a shop.
- The written test will point up students ability to understand
written messages, to extract essential information, to use
words and expressions in simple sentences.
- The oral test will point up students ability to react
adequately to oral messages, to produce short verbal
messages, to exchange personal information in simple
conversations.
