JOB DESCRIPTION

Developer
1.1 Job Purpose: Responsible for effective translation of software requirements
specifications (SRS) of different modules of the NATGRID application into
software programs, by performing coding & testing of the programs to meet the
SRS and design specifications.
1.2 Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1.2.1 Responsible for translation of the technical specifications of the
NATGRID application components into executable/deployable software
pieces meeting the design-level objectives and performance level
objectives.
1.2.2 Responsible for preparing detailed workflow charts/pseudo codes and
diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation.
1.2.3 Responsible for developing unit test plans, unit test cases, integration
test plans and integration test cases.
1.2.4 Assist in the execution of System and Acceptance testing as per the
defined plans. Support in load & stress testing of all NAT-STAR Solutions
developed by the SIs to ensure solution capability & robustness.
1.2.5 Oversee proper version control and configuration management of all
test objects developed and test environments used.
1.2.6 Assist in determining the proof-of-concepts of various solutions
proposed by vendor agencies.
1.3 Required Qualification, Skills & Experience:
1.3.1 Skills & Experience: Experience includes research, teaching &
independent consulting experience in relevant function/domain.
1.3.1.1 Private sector employee with minimum of 3 years experience in
IT function /domain.
OR
Retired government employee who has worked at a Grade Pay
of Rs 6600 and above, with at least 5 13 years experience in IT
function.
1.3.1.2 2 years of experience software coding experience in a software
services organization.
1.3.1.3 2 years experience in any Integrated Development
Environment (like Websphere, Eclipse, Aqualogic etc.).
1.3.1.4 Experience in software coding experience in writing codes for
green field projects in the relevant fields like DBA, Software
coder, Unix/Linux shell scripting etc.
1.3.2 Qualification: Bachelors Degree in science/computer applications or
technical qualifications like Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Bachelors
Degree in Technology/MBA/or Equivalent.

1.4 Schedule for completion of tasks: 1 year.


1.5 Final Output: Software requirement specifications of various modules of the
NATGRID application.

Instructions for Applicants
1. The candidates shall apply to NISG through designated email id for the specific position
mentioned at the website of NISG / MHA. In the subject line of the email the name of the
position applied for may be mentioned.
2. It may be noted that the email mentioned at sl. no. 1 shall only be used for processing of
the applications.
3. As part of the application process, candidates will have to send the following two
documents in pdf format. The format of application form is given at the website of
NISG/MHA:
(i) Application Form
(ii) Detailed Resume
4. The last date of submission of completed Application and Detailed Resume in soft copy is
21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement.

5. Please affix a recent colour photograph of passport size to the resume. The candidates
shall receive by email the dated acknowledgement of submission of their application.
6. Retired Government Servants can also apply for the roles.
7. The upper age limit for all positions is 65 years.
8. These roles are open for Indian citizens residing in India. In addition, green card
holders/Non-resident Indians may also apply.
9. The educational qualification, skills and experience criteria mentioned in the service
description sheet are mandatory. Please go through the details of the service expected
before applying for any role.
10. There is no bar on number of roles for which a person can apply.
11. The candidate should fill in separate form for each role applied for.
12. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the application form reaches the
above email within the time mentioned in the advertisement. NISG or NATGRID will not be
responsible for delay in receipt of application. Any application received beyond the due
date will not be entertained.
13. The last date for submission of applications may be extended, if necessary.
14. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the interviews.
15. The hard copy of application with following documents are to be furnished by the
candidates to NISG, before appearing for interview:
Copies of education certificates
copies of proof of experience
Income proof (Copy of last drawn pay slip / form-16 / salary certificate or
equivalent)
Identity Proof
Address Proof
16. In above hard copy, the applicant should self-attest the photograph, all pages of the
application form and all pages of the resume and the documents.
17. The candidate would be required to bring the original copies of the certificates/ proofs at
the time of interview.
18. All candidates will be provided to and fro allowances to travel for the interview by air
(economy class) or train (as per actual limited to 2nd AC from locations that can be covered
at less than six hours from the place of interview) on submission of required proof.
19. All selected candidates will be subjected to a Back ground verification check and security
vetting.
20. The engagement of the Consultant would be on a full time basis and the engaged
personnel would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of
engagement with NATGRID.
21. The engaged consultant shall not receive any extra remuneration in connection with the
assignment, except as provided in the contract.
22. All selected candidates have to sign the following documents and agree to comply by the
same:
Non-disclosure agreement (will be provided at the time of joining)
Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution of India
Oath of secrecy

23. All selected candidates have to disclose their details about the movable and immovable
property in their name as per the prescribed format.
24. The names of selected candidates shall be published on the website of NISG and MHA.
