1. Introduction
ATrad is Sri Lankas only Sun Microsystems certified real-time, online stock trading
system. ATrad enables clients to place orders remotely, view their portfolios and
perform transactions with the highest reliability and quality standards. ATrads ability to
provide real-time trade information makes it a powerful tool.

2. Client Environment Recommendations

Recommended hardware and system software for the user environment for using ATrad
solution is listed below.

3. How to login
Use the Broker firms online trading URL provided to login to the ATrad Online trading
system. Once you have successfully loaded the login page, enter your personal user
name and password which has been provided by the broker. Once the correct details
are filled click the login button and you will successfully login to the ATrad online trading
system.
Important
1. If you get an error message saying User name and password do not match, please
check your username, password and try again.
2. If youre using the system at the first time, System will ask you to change your
default password.
3. If you did not log out properly last time, and closed the browser window you will
need to try to log in two times or y o u h a v e t o w a i t f o r d e s i g n a t e d
t i m e , since there is a login time out introduced to the software.
4. If you were unable to login the system within three minutes please contact your
broker IT division to check your login status.

4. Ticker
With this feature you can view the market trades executed on real time during the CSE
market trading time. This information will be displayed on the top of the screen with
executed time, security id, quantity and price.
Following colors are used to indicate the price variations.

GREEN
RED
WHITE

Price is going up with respect to previous closing price

Price is going down with respect to previous closing price
No price change with respect to previous closing price

Right side of the ticker contains trade time. After up / down / equal sign it shows price difference with
respect to previous close value of that particular security.

5. Normal Watch
Normal watch displays list of securities with details and updates the market
variations real time. This screen can be customized according to the user
preferences and saved with a list of preferred securities with in the watch. You
can access systems main functions by right clicking on top of each security and
you will get the popup menu to choose. Also you can access the same system
functions by double clicking on top of different columns as listed below.

Column 1 (Security): access order book of the security.

Column 2&3 (Bid Qty & Bid Price): Access SELL Screen of the security.

Column 4&5 (Ask Price & Ask Qty): Access BUY Screen of the security.

Column 6 (Trade Price): Access Trades of the security.

How to access
Option 1: Once logged in user will be redirected to normal watch.
Option 2: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to Watch menu item and
select the Normal watch from the sub menus. (WATCH->NORMOAL WATCH)

6. Sector Watch
Sector watch displays all securities with sector categorization. Sector watch update
is not real time and if user want to get latest data user has to press refresh button.
This screen cannot be customized according to the user preferences. You can
access systems main functions by right clicking on top of each security and you
will get the popup menu to choose. Also you can access the same system
functions by double clicking on top of different columns.

7. Trades
Trades function allows you to view trades during the day for each selected security.

How to access
Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to View menu item and
select the Trades from the sub menus. (VIEW->TRADES)

Option 2: Right clicks on the security in the watch and click trades.

8. Statistics
Comprehensive list of statistics for any selected security id will be displayed in this
screen.

How to access
Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to View menu item and
select the Statistics from the sub menus. (VIEW->STATISTICS)

Option 2: Right clicks on the security in the watch and click statistics.

9. Top 10 Gainers
A list of the top 10 securities those who gained the highest price change percentage will
be listed here. This will be sorted in descending order by % change column.

How to access
Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to View menu item and
select the Top 10 gainers from the sub menus. (View->Top 10 gainers).

10. Top 10 losers

A list of the top 10 securities who lost by maximum price change percentage will be
listed here. This will be sorted in ascending order by % change column.

How to access
Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to Watch menu item
and select the Normal watch from the sub menus. (View->Top 10 Losers)

11. Top 10 Share Volumes

A list of the top 10 securities which had highest volumes traded during the trading time
in the market will be listed here. This will be sorted in descending order by total
turnover.

select the top 10 share volume from the sub menus. (View->Top 10 Share Volumes)

12. Market Time Sales

This displays all the Transactions taken place in the market during the trading time of
the day.

How to access
Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to View menu item and
select the Market time Sales from the sub menus.(View->Market Time Sales)

13. Symbol Lookup

This Feature enables you to search for company security codes with the registered
company name.

How to access
Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to View menu item and
select the symbol lookup from the sub menus. (View->Symbol Lookup)

14. Order Book

This Display the total bid orders and total ask orders related information for a given
security. This is grouped by the number of splits. When you double click on the
Bids/Asks, the system will direct you to the buy and sell screen with the price. You can
open multiple order books by opening multiples popup windows of many numbers of
securities.

How to access
Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to view menu item and
select the Order book from the sub menus. Orders->Order Book

Option 2: Right click on the security in the watch and click Order Book
Option 3: Left click on the security in the watch

15. Order Placement Buy/Sell

This feature allows you place an order for a security. It can be either a buy or sell order.
To place the Buy order you should have enough buying power (exposure) in our
account. And also it should meet per day limit and order limit which is assigned by the
broker based on your capacity. To place a sell order you should have adequate quantity
of this security in your portfolio.

How to access
Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to Orders menu item
and select the Buy/Sell from the sub menus. (Orders->BUY/SELL).

Option 2: Right click on the security in the watch and click Order Book.
Option 3: Left click on both bid qty and bid price for SELL, ask qty and ask price for BUY.

Important

You should select the relevant account in Client Account drop down in order to load
client details and buying power.

Check the price, quantity, security that you are going to sell/buy before you submit
the order by clicking the submit button, whether they are correct and what you
intended.

If you want to get a prompt for confirmation of the order before the order is submitted,
you should have ticked the confirmation option button next to the submit button ( This is
default ). If this is not ticked the order will be submitted once you click the submit button
without prompting you.

16. Order Blotter

This screen displays list of all orders which has been placed by the user within the trading
day (Including orders which is placed through ATS or any other online trading system for the
particular user). You can use either A C H buttons or right click menu to amend, cancel order
and view order history.
Important

You can only amend, cancel orders only if the current order status is NEW or P.FILLED

You cannot amend or cancel orders which are placed via ATS terminal by investment
advisors behalf of you.

you cannot view order history for the orders which are placed through ATS or any other
online trading systems.

Order amendment is submitted to ATrad server at Broker house ((Not yet

submitted to CSE, but in the process of submitting to the CSE)

AMMEND

Order is amend and accepted by CSE

P.FILLED

Order is partially executed.(i.e. remaining quantity is available in order book)

P.CANCELD

Submitted to the ATrad server at Broker house (Not yet submitted to CSE,
but in the process of submitting to the CSE)

CANCEL

Order is canceled and accepted by CSE

QUEUED

Order is rejected by CSE ( You can view the reject reason through blotter
statement )

17. Account Statement

This feature provides details of the client account statement. You can select one of your
accounts from the drop down list if you have more than one account. You can view the
account statement history by selecting period of time using calendar.

item and select the account statement from the sub menus. (Client Details->Account
Statements)

18. Portfolio Statement

This feature provide the information of the clients portfolio with the closing price. Total
cost, market value and Net gain or loss value. You can select one of your accounts from
the drop down list if you have more than one account. With last traded price column you
can have real time portfolio valuation.

Option 1: Once you are in the different screen use the top menu and go to client details menu
item and select the Portfolios from the sub menus. (Client Details->Portfolio)

This feature provides the graphical information of the security during the selected date
period. You can find the price change, volume change and the indices change during
