Operating with gas
GAS-OIL switch ON GAS position
DUAL 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 3P - 4P
Once connected the burner to the gas pipe make sure that there are no leakages.
Air bleed the pipe through the pressure gauge fixing point and check the pressure with a pressure gauge.
Turn the thermostats to the desired temperature. The burner will purge for about 45 sec. At this point
the gas valve opens and the transformer ignites. Control the gas flow in the gas meter and adjust the
needed quantity of gas operating on the gas valve.
Adjust the needed quantity of air, operating on the air regulator.
In case of no ignition the burner goes to lock-out within 2 sec.
In case of extintion of the flame while operating lock-out time is less than one sec.
In case of lack or descreasing of air pressure, the air pressure switch shutts off the gas valve.
DUAL 5P
Once connected the burner to the gas pipe make sure that there are no leakages.
Air bleed the pipe through the pressure gauge fixing point and check the pressure with a pressure gauge.
Turn the thermostats to the desired temperature. The burner will purge for about 45 sec. At this point
the first stage gas valve and the safety gas valve open and the transformer ignites. After en interval of
approx. 20 sec. the second stage gas valve opens and in the same time the motorized air damper goes to
full opening position. Required gas flow for 1 st. and 2 nd. stage must the controlledon the gas meter
and adjusted on the gas valves. (See fig.). Required air capacity for the1 st. and 2 nd. stage is adjusted
operating on motorized air damper (See fig.).
In case of no ignition the burner goes to lock-out within 2 sec.
In case of extintion of the flame while operating lock-out time is less than one sec.
In case of lack or descreasing of air pressure, the air pressure switch shutts off the gas valve.

GAS BURNING
After setting the burner for oil, leave air setting as it is at motorized air
damper.
Next, regulate gas supply to suit air flow to obtain optimal combustion
performance with gas and oil.
Move switch to position "2" gas.

GAS GOVERNOR

The governor does not form part of the burner accessories and therefore thecnical istructions on the adjustament of this component have been omitted.
However it is important toknow the folling points :
1 ) The gas pressure in the gas-mains must not exceed the maximum permitted pressure for the gonernor.
2 ) Every governor is furnished with several springs, usually identified by their
colour, each allowing a range of setting.
It is necessary to select the correct spring to suit the pressure required on the
burner.

pag.5

IONIZATION CURRENT
The minimum current necessary to operate the control-box is 15 A (BRAHMA) end 200 A ( LANDIS ). When the measurement of the current is required it is necessary to disconnect the lead to the
probe and insert in its place a microammeter for direct current (see fig. under).

then operate through a screw driver fitted into the suitable seat as shown in the figure. Adjustments
must be made with the burner running, in function of the working pressure and needs of each installation. The working fields are as follows: inlet pressure range 0100 mbar; outlet pressure range 3,620
mbar. Between the minimum and maximum outlet pressure there are approx. 60 adjusting screws
turns. The governor is adjusted to an intermediate position during the tests.

testing. To prime the pump first of all start the burner and bleed
air from the pump through the gauge port. If the burner goes to

oil pump, restart the burner.

NOTE : before starting up the burner, make sure that the return pipe is clear. Check that the pipes do
not leak. It is advisable to use copper pipes. Do not exceed the depression limit of 4 mt.(0,45 bar) to
keep low noise levels. The return pipe must reach the same level as the check valve at the bottom of the
