 RULES AND REGULATIONS AT JAIN COLLEGE HOSTEL
STRICTELY TO BE FOLLOWED BY THE RESIDENT STUDENTS

1. Students should not stay out after 19:30 hours (Girls) & 21:30 hours (Boys). Students who wish to stay out beyond the
above timings should have permission from Hostel In-charge in writing, any one staying out thereafter will not be allowed to
enter the hostel premises and strict action will be taken. GOING FOR THE NIGHT SHOW MOVIES IS STRICTLY
PROHIBITED. Weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday students are allowed to be out till 21:30 hours (Girls) & 22:30 hours
(Boys).

2. Smoking & Drinking, Slang, borrowing & lending, Quarrel and Arguments, Driving without license or without proper
documents, impulsive driving, narcotics, accidents; if any of the students is involved in the above mentioned activities, they
shall be liable for punishment as per the law of the Government of India. Chewing of tobacco items, smoking either
inside or outside the hostel will not be excused.

3. Hostel residents should take care of their belongings in the hostel premises. The students are advised not to keep valuables
like gold chain, rings, EXPENSIVE IPODS & MOBILES unnecessary cash holding, Digital Cameras and other expensive
items. Management does not take the responsibility for the loss of such or other valuables.

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL WITH RESPECT TO THEIR MOBILE HANDSETS AND OTHER
GADGETS.

4. Students are responsible for the furniture and fittings given, any damage caused to them due to students own fault or
negligence, has to be replaced by the students themselves.

5. Misuse of the hostel facilities will not be tolerated. It applies to Scribbling, Spitting and/or sticking posters on the walls
and such other as it may be specified from time to time. Strict disciplinary action would be taken.

6. The hostel fee once paid is non refundable if the resident is leaving the hostel in the middle of the academic year or does
not utilize any facilities of the hostel allotted to him. Hostel Fees has to be paid in full before leaving the hostel at any
time. Security Deposit shall be refunded only if full hostel fees are paid.

7. Hostel Dues and Fees should be cleared on time as specified at the time of admission thereafter which Rs.50/- per day
shall be charged towards fine.

8. The caution deposit shall be refunded after one month from the receipt of the hostel leaving application upon completion
of the other formalities.
9. Parents and students who wish to withdraw from the hostel at the end of the year will have to give a written application at
least two months in advance prior to commencement of the next academic year, failing which they have to pay full hostel
fee for the commencing academic year. Immediately on the receipt of the application their hostel seat shall be considered
vacant for new admission for the new academic year.

10. Final year degree, postgraduate and II PUC students shall vacant the hostel seat within one week from the date of their
completetion of the Final Year Examinations.

11. Cooking & Cooking equipments (E.g. HOT PLATE, ELECTRIC KETTLES, HEATER, IMMERSION ROD) are not allowed
within the hostel premises any one found using the same within the hostel premises shall be fine Rs.1,000/-. Drilling,
Nailing and other works, which may alter the structure of the hostel, are not allowed.

12. House Keeping, Maintenance, Food Complaints, if any, can be written in the register provided with Warden. Complaint
of whatsoever nature shall not be entertained, if not written in the complaint register. The registered complaints shall be
attended at an earliest.

13. Combined studies with Non Hostel Student inside the hostel premises are not permitted.

14. Residents should be considerate towards one another and refrain from making noise late at night or early in morning,
particularly after 22:00 hours and before 06:00 hours.

15. Residents are not expected to be outside their room after 22:30 hours.

16. Watching television after 22:30 hours is strictly not allowed except on weekends and a day before holiday till 00:00
hours.
17. Pick up and drop facility to Airport Transit point and Railways station can only be availed on a prior intimation of
48 hours and depending upon the availability of the vehicle.

18. Management shall only help in booking the Railways or Airways tickets depending upon the availability of the seat/fare
at the time of reservation. Students should get their concession form (if any) signed from the principal and attested from the
concerned office.

19. No birthday celebrations after 23:00 hours. The birthday boy / girl will be punished for the same and shall be
fined Rs.5,000/- Kindly celebrate your Birthday outside the HOSTEL premise and Don't disturb the others

20. Visitors, Family Members, and Friends are not permitted to stay in the hostel premises. No outsider including parents is
allowed inside the students' room. No visitors are permitted after 18:30 hours.

21. The hostel staff can inspect the rooms at any given point of time irrespective of day or night. All residents are expected to
keep their room & common areas clean & tidy.

22. College/Hostel management shall do its best to provide normal medical aid. Medi Claim insurance is subject to the
schedule, rules & regulation of the Insurance Company. Hostel authority shall not be held responsible for any accidents,
mishaps, illness or sickness within or outside the hostel premises.

23. Misuse of Computers and Internet like watching movies, storing exotic pictures/movies, playing card/outdoor games
inside the hostel premises and/or any other activity which is objectionable will not be tolerated and a fine of Rs.5000/- will
be charged without any warning.

24. Bringing or ordering Non Vegetarian Food from outside meant to be eaten inside the hostel premises is strictly
not permitted.

25. Permissions of any nature should be in written format and duly singed by the Hostel Incharge, afterwards no
explanation / excuse would be entertained.

26. Management can change the room/ hostel of any student without any notice to the students or parents
depending upon the observations, rule & regulations.

27. Management reserves the right to introduce, remove, change modify any rules without prior information to Parents as
well as the student.

28. The Management reserves the right to take any disciplinary action including eviction from the hostel.

In spite of normal precautions been taken by the college/hostel authority, if any mishaps (including accidents, temporary or
permanent disability or death) or injury takes place during the period of my son/daughter stay at Jain College Hostel or if
and when he/she joins any tours, excursions or camps or any other such events, I will not hold the college/hostel authority,
the institution or any of its staff wholly or partly responsible for it.
