25. Read the blog, and write True or False.

So crazy it must be true!
This week we focus on three very strange, real-life stories from the world of crime.
First of all, it was an unlucky day for robber, Michael Smith, of New York. He got a
surprise when he tried to rob a retired husband and wife. He took out a gun and told
them to give him their money. To his surprise, the lady put her hand in her bag and took
out her own gun! It was actually a plastic water pistol, but Smith believed it was real,
and the robbery failed!
The most incredible story of the week is about a Dutch man who was arrested for
animal smuggling. Passengers at an airport in French Guiana noticed a man acting
strangely. He was stopped by customs who discovered twelve small birds in his
trousers. It was a very cruel crime as the birds were not under sedation at all.
Fortunately, his crazy plan failed too and he was taken away to prison.
Finally, it's not just criminals who make mistakes. After a bank robbery in Germany,
two pairs of police officers appeared at the crime scene. Two were in uniform, but the
others were just detectives in suits. The uniformed police arrested the other two, while
the criminals escaped!
1 Michael Smith is a thief. _______________
2 Michael Smith committed a crime against a young couple. _______________
3 The lady had a gun which could kill someone. _______________
4 The Dutch man killed several animals. _______________
5 The Dutch man was arrested on a plane. _______________
6 The Dutch man hid the birds inside his clothes. _______________
7 The German policemen investigated a kidnapping. _______________
8 The German policeman arrested the detectives. _______________
