Thepurposeofthismemorandumistoformallyrequestapprovalofmyresearchproject
topic.ThereasonwhyIaminterestedinthistopicisbecauseitoccurseverydaybutwe
donotpaycloseattentiontoit.Thismemorandumwillfullyexplainwhytheproblem,
objectives,solution,schedule,qualifications,andcost.
Problem:
Incompetitivefastfoodindustry,fastfoodrestaurantshavetomaintainefficiencyin
theirstandardoperationsandkeepupwiththequalityoftheirproductsandservices.
However,DistrictManagersarerequestingGeneralManagerstoonlyhaveafewcertain
crewmemberstoworkundertoomuchpressure.
Notenoughworkersonthefloorcausefrustrationduringrushhoursandlead
themtotakeitoutontheircustomers.
DistrictManagersexpectstoomuchoutofcrewmembers.
Verbalcommunicationbetweencashiersandcustomers.
Objectives:
IencouragebothManagerstoconductOneonOnemeetings.Somecommunicationis
moreappropriatelydiscussedinaoneononesettingbetweenadistrictmanagerand
storemanager.Thiswillincludesissuesrelatedtodiscipline,complaints,conflict
resolution,andcompensationandbenefits.
Solution:
WorkingasaShiftManageratafastfoodindustry,thepressureofsatisfyingeveryone
wantsandneedsisverydifficult.Tosolvethis,Ibelievethatthereshouldholdaregular
staffmeetingsfortheDistrictManager,StoreManager,andafewofthecrewmembers
tostatetheiropinions.IbelievethatiftheDistrictManagersconsidertheirworkers
(managersandcrewmembers)thoughts/opinionsandactuallydosomethingaboutit,then
itwouldleadthefastfoodenvironmentahappyplace.Hiringnewapplicationsandfast
