Assistant Manager (Merchandiser)

General Manager, CEO & MD

Job Purpose

To ensure every shipment will deliver on time with required quality by following up
every process from order receiving to manufacturing to shipment.

Area of Responsibility

Main role of merchandiser is to analyze the order then produce the garments and
export. He should provide best effort with functional knowledge successfully to
deliver shipment on time with Quality.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Merchandiser keeps close monitoring on work progress done by merchandiser from


factory Yarn booking, Knitting, Dyeing lab dip, fabric booking, sampling, and day to
day entire merchandising Task.
2. Ensure all cost; prices are cross checked by using correct fabric / trims from other
sources.
3. Identify problems or potential problems on samples.

4. Work with supplier/ factory people to ensure samples are accurate and keep aware
sample production unit to meet the deadline.
5. Regular communication, give and receive feedback to improve performance with
both factory & Buyer.
6. Merchandiser regular contact with suppliers and factories, visit when the issue is
critical and there is a need for onsite checking and to provide a solution.

7. He will responsible & keeps all the submissions according to Rexyl filing system and
provide at any time if either buyer or factory misses anything after getting the
approvals. Should complete his service and should be more sincere than the other
parties.

8. Works on T&A. Ensure all suppliers are using nominated sources for trims. Update
and manage supply base data into internal systems.
9. Attend pre-production and critical path meetings with the concerned technical team
to ensure all garments shipped are 100% compliant and critical path informations
are accurately delivered.
10. Ensure the order is produced according to the approved counter sample & approved
production unit
11. Have an open dialogue between the teams to find solutions, effective methods and
avoid repeatedly mistakes.
12. All was provide Production update & forecast to buyer/Customer if require additional
time for delivery. Collect shipment permission from buyer up on completed final
inspection with quantity.
13. Ensure quality by close monitoring with quality team. If any quality issue arises &
discuss with managent if not possible to manage, he lets the buyer know the
practical situation & try to get the solution right.
14. Keep contact to commercial & shipping department for shipment. Keep contact to
supplier and shipping agent if needed special permission for goods delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Having University graduation degree, fluently English spoken & writing


2. Having experience more than 8 years merchandising in garment follow up field,
good communication skill, active & responsibilities.

3. Careful and open mind need in all time. A wide knowledge of the industry.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Excellent analytical skills.
6. Proven ability to provide support, guidance to colleagues.
7. Able to priorities tasks and make important decisions in pressurize work
environment.
8. Ability to work under pressure and long hours.
