Trish Hatch, Ph.D. is the best-selling author of The
Use of Data in School Counseling: Hatching Results for
Students, Programs, and the Profession (2014), coauthor of the ASCA National Model: A Framework for
School Counseling Programs (ASCA, 2003; 2005), and
co-author of Evidence-Based School Counseling:
Making a Difference With Data-Driven Practices
(Dimmit, Carey & Hatch, 2007). Currently, she is a
Professor and Director of School Counseling at San
Diego State University (SDSU) and serves as a
national expert consultant on school counseling for
The White House, US Department of Education, The
Education Trust, and the College Board. She has
received multiple state and national recognitions,
including the ASCA Mary Gehrke Lifetime
Achievement Award, ASCA Administrator of the Year
Award, and is a H.B. McDaniel Hall of Fame Inductee
(2004). She has served in multiple leadership roles
including Supervisor/Post-Secondary Level Vice
President of the American School Counselor
Association (ASCA) and President of the California
School Counseling Association.
