Instructions: Using the Internet, answer the
questions below. Go to the FBLA-PBL National web
site: www.fbla-pbl.org. (You may have to type this
address in your address bar!)
Students read an article in a copy of the FBLA
Tomorrow Leader Magazine and summarize what
the learned in a 3 paragraph letter to their teacher.

This is not a game, but a commonly practiced activity.

Assemble in a large hall or a conference room that has
ample place. Prior to
assembling, print out leadership quotes (in a large, easy
to read font) and stick them on the walls, remembering
to keep a fair
distance between each quote. Now once the group has
assembled, ask them to move around the room reading
the various quotes
you have pasted on the walls. Once they have read all
the quotes, ask them to choose a quote which they think
matches with what
they view as a good, effective leader. Once everyone has
chosen a quote, ask them to describe what the quote
means and what
made them choose that particular quote. Write down the
traits that emerge, which can be used as reflective
material for the entire
group on what goes into making a good, effective leader.

quiz for each student in the class. Have the students
score themselves
based on how they participate in a group setting. After
scoring each statement, the students should then add up
their total scores to
see what type of leader they are.
In order to ensure accuracy, it is not recommended to
give students a copy of the leadership style descriptions
