Question 1.1
How internet works from home and Nirma University anyorganization?
Answer,- Each potential user has to register Mac Id of his device which is
mapped with unique private ip address by concerned college authorities. After
this, user has to configure his device with proper settings for DNS, Subnet
Mask, Default gateway etc. User is also assigned unique user id and password
for Wathguard security system which ensures confidential and authenticated
internet browsing.

Question 1.2
How do you know the network address of a computer
Answer,-We can find the IP address listed in the Network Connection Details
window IPv4 Address field.
Or a quicker way to find IP address in Windows is by running the pconfig all
command in a Command Prompt window. We can see IP address in the IPv4
Address row beneath the name of your connection.

Question 1.3
What is the purpose of the following Answer,DNS - A DNS sever is where the computer goes to translate a web address that
you type in into a series of numbers and goes to that address. It basically maps
URL with numbered server address.
DHCP
DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. the dhcp is an auto
configuration protocol used on ip networks. Computers that are connect to IP
networks must be configured before they can communicate with other computers on the network. it also provides a central database for keeping track of
computers that have been connected to the network. This prevents two computers from accidentally being configured with the same ip address.
Subnet Masking
A subnet mask defines the IP addresses that can exist within a specific subnet,
such as a local area network. It has a similar appearance to an IP address, but
it masks the network part of the IP address.
Digital Certificate
Digital certificate is the stamp of the encryption used to encrypt the data associated with the page you are viewing. This is associated with secured pages
https that come to your PC as encrypted. You have to trust the source in
order to view the pages. The main purpose of the digital certificate is to ensure
that the public key contained in the certificate belongs to the entity to which
the certificate was issued

Do you ever perform Secured Communication? How or how not?

Answer,-Yes. Whenever I use Anonymous proxies , Skype , Internet Banking
Arcot etc. I perform secured connection.

Answer,Confidentiality
Confidentiality allows authorized users to access sensitive and protected data.
It refers to the privacy and security level of personal data published via the
Internet.
Integrity
Integrity is the assurance that information can only and only be accessed or
modified by those authorized persons
Authentication
Authentication is a process that ensures and confirms a users identity.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure HT T P S is a combination of the Hypertext
Transfer Protocol with the SSLTLS protocol to provide encryption and secure
identification of the server. HTTPS connections are often used for payment
transactions on the World Wide Web and for sensitive transactions in corporate
information systems.
Signature
Digital signatures are used by programs on the internet and local to the machines
to confirm identity to any third party concerned.
