PRESENTACIN DE LA ASIGNATURA
The importance of learning English cannot be overstated in an increasingly
interconnected and globalized world. For the millions of students from different
countries every year, learning to communicate in English is important to enter and
ultimately succeed in their jobs or having the best opportunity. Working knowledge
of the English language can create many opportunities in international markets and
regions.
English is the fourth most widely spoken native language in the world, and in terms
of sheer number of speakers, it is the most spoken official language in the world. It
is the primary language used in international affairs. The English language has
official status even in nations where it is not the primary spoken language. English
is indisputably the primary language of global trade and commerce. In many
countries, most tourism authorities and other officials in contact with the public
speak English to interact and engage with tourists and immigrants.
Knowing English opens job and employment opportunities in many countries and
markets. Multilateral institutions and agencies in the four United Nation cities of
New York, Vienna, The Hague and Geneva recruit professionals with multilingual
skills but also expect the candidates to have good English-speaking skills. The
Commonwealth of Nations, made up of 50-plus countries that were former British
colonies or dependencies, also offers numerous employment opportunities to those
who understand and communicate in English.

General Objectives:

Desarrollar las cuatro habilidades el lenguaje de acuerdo al nivel de dominio

del idioma.

Utilizar el idioma Ingls como una herramienta de comunicacin eficaz.

Subsidiaries Objectives:

Desarrollar las habilidades bsicas tanto productivas como receptivas.

Identificar el vocabulario tcnico bsico con sus usos y aplicaciones.

Methodology
Las clases sern 100% comunicativas de acuerdo al nivel del estudiante, y estarn
basadas en el constructivismo; usando todas las herramientas necesarias para
que los estudiantes utilice el ingls de forma comunicativa.
Cada una de las actividades realizadas en clases sern evaluadas y se
fundamentarn en las cuatro habilidades de conocimiento del idioma ingls.
En la gua metodolgica se indicarn en detalle las actividades a realizar por el
estudiante teniendo en cuenta la informacin que debe trabajar dentro y fuera del
aula como estudio independiente.

PROYECTO INTEGRADOR - ORAL PRESENTATION
Select one of these topics and write about it:

Describe input and output devices.

Identify the different keys on a keyboard and explain their functions.
Explain the technical specs of digital cameras, printers and display devices.
Different types of printers.

EVALUACIN
Esta asignatura se desarrollar en encuentros presenciales, incluir un proceso de
evaluacin peridica y sistemtica, a fin de construir el conocimiento junto al
estudiante. Se evaluarn aspectos relacionados a:

Asistencia Estudiantil

Actuacin en clase

Exposiciones individuales y grupales

Actividades on-line

Evaluaciones

Organizacin y Presentacin del trabajo integrador.

SUGERENCIAS PARA EL APROVECHAMIENTO DEL MDULO

La experiencia nos permite sugerir a los(as) participantes, algunos puntos que le
ayudarn a una mejor comprensin y aprovechamiento del evento:
1. SEA PUNTUAL: La puntualidad permite que todos las (los) participantes
logren el mejor aprovechamiento de su tiempo y evitar la distraccin de sus
compaeros de aprendizaje.

2. TOME APUNTES: Los apuntes personales son un material muy valioso

para referencias posteriores. Conserve sus apuntes de manera ordenada.

3. PARTICIPE EN CLASE: La participacin es una de las facetas ms

importantes de la capacitacin porque permite aclarar dudas propias y de
grupo, as como aportar y aprovechar experiencias de cada uno de las (los)
participantes. Aproveche la oportunidad. Pregunte siempre que haya un
tema no clarificado. No sienta vergenza de su pronunciacin. Mientras
ms participe, su facilitador tendr la oportunidad de hacer las correcciones
necesarias en vocabulario, pronunciacin o estructura.

ORIENTACIONES PARA EL AUTO APRENDIZAJE

Mediante este sistema usted podr alcanzar sus metas y objetivos

trazados, esperando llegar a la adquisicin de un nuevo conocimiento por el
camino de la autodisciplina y honradez en todos los procedimientos.

Los contenidos programados del curso tienen un enfoque sistemtico,

secuencial que ha sido organizado en unidades o enfoques temticos, se
indican los conceptos y aspectos fundamentales a estudiar y recordar, as
como ACTIVIDADES que le permitan verificar el alcance de su aprendizaje
en el dominio del conocimiento.

Resuelva los ejercicios propuestos en el mdulo, si tiene dudas vuelva al

texto. No copie las respuestas de sus compaeros porque se perjudica al
evitar su propia prctica.

Discuta mediante sesiones de trabajo independiente con sus compaeros,

compare sus respuestas, someta a la crtica de los dems, y si usted
comprendi ms tambin haga partcipe a sus amigos, recuerde que la
solidaridad y el trabajo colectivo es muy favorable.

Recuerde que nadie controla su trabajo, el xito del mismo depende de usted.
