3. Specification & Justification of Equipment & Labs requirement:


The various Agro Processing equipments are required to make the UG & PG students of Food
Processing learn the methods of producing different kind of processed products like- flakes( rice,
corn, bajra etc.), puffs, chips , soy, bakery & confectionery products etc. Along with, debrannig,
milling, grinding & packaging of various agriculture produce.
Additionally, thrust will be given to complete Testing of the products developed- their nutritive
value( protein, fat, fiber, mineral content), microbial load etc.
For e.g.:

Molds- To Make various shapes of cookies, cup cakes, etc

Cutters- Bread cutters

Sieves- Fractionation of the various particle sizes of grains (Research & processing) Mesh sizes: 10, 20,32,
60, 80 120

Vegetable peeler - For peeling the vegetables (processing) 50Kg/hr

Modified Atmospheric packaging machine: To incorporate the modified gases in to the packaged product to
increase the shelf life.(Processing & research)

Spice Grinder: Grinding spices (100Kg/hr)

Stirrer- Lab analytical stirrer.

Mini dal mill Used for dal milling ( Pulse processing)
