VEDIC ASTROLOGY

Buddha taught liberation!

Buddha is the Avatar that demonstrates the seeker on the path.
*BUDDHA*
The Avatar that demonstrates the perfect adherence to the spiritual path, until realization is achieved!
Sun Represents: Noble Activity
Moon Represents: Untouched Conscious
Mercury's duty is to differentiate. He represents: the battles of the spiritual path. The struggles we go
through.
Mars Represents: Righteous anger that uplifts the good things in life. It is how we assert our
consciousness.
Jupiter-Venus periods' only intention is to spiritualize you, to spiritualize your consciousness and to
help you loose your sense of I. The sense of I gets reduced, you're either forced to it, or you do it
willingly, depending on the angle they're in.
It's where a person will make the most spiritual growth.
Someone you're close to can also pass away.
If there is any Jupiter Venus afflictions in your birth chart, you're gonna have turbulent things happen to
you to that time period.
Jupiter and Venus magnify each other, and unless Jupiter-Venus are not in perfect shape you will
experience ill events during your Jupiter Venus periods
Venus is not the logical thinking planet, it is the planet that helps us think in a way that gets us through
the tight corners in life without any trouble. He helps us play by the rules. It is the planet of manners, of
decorum, and of doing the proper thing.
Venus is the most important planet for the actions we take in the world. It is the planet that determines
what we do, and it takes into account everything that important to us.
Mars is the planet that goes about doing it.
People that have a good Venus have a better judgment of what's really important to them.
People with bad Venus tend to complain about what they don't have, and they don't see what's really
important for them to stop the distractions, or the stupid thing.
Venus is the decisive planet (Rules Libra, the scale, weighing the pros and cons) every time we make a
decision he is there.
Venus is the smooth operator of things.
He is also the father.
Venus is proud and has a lot of pride attached to itself.
To reflect on: These Avatars represent extreme aspects of these qualities of our Higher Selves. Once
one is aware of them, one can balance them!

Venus and Libra prominent in charts of ppl who involved in killing. Libra has the qualities of killing.
There is a rather cruel side to Jupiter as Venus is give me what I want baby but Jupiter will give you
what you need! As opposed to Venus who grants you joy and pleasure. - that's why it's considered to be
the most powerful benefic of the gentle planets, where Jupiter is the most benefic in the sense of
keeping us safe. But as far as giving us what we want, Venus is the planet.
Anything that is difficult to bear, anything that's a hardship, is what we use Saturn for. He helps us bear
burdens! (wow, he's our personal warrior! - if we know how to call on him!)
Turning the Ocean of Consciousness to discover the fluid of immortality- the fluid of the Divine
Essence, the liberating fluid! The Divine Fluid!/illumination
but for the ocean to turn, the demons and devas had to work together very profound!
The more spiritually centered we get the more we tend to struggle, right? Then we beat ourselves up.
But to turn the ocean of immortality both sides have to work together. Only then can it happen.
Our good and bad tendencies have to be in harmony with each other before we can access the fluid of
immortality! -Integration! -Liberation!
Turning the ocean represents all of the psychological work we keep doing to ourselves.
Everything we do - before our good and bad tendencies are in harmony with each other - is all the
psychological work to be a peace with ourselves, until we feel okay about ourselves, that we're not
constantly fighting this foolish little war about I did this I did that (game of victim and hunter)
The difficult and uncomfortable situations are just a reflection of of your attitude towards yourself, so
that you can eventually see it is just a war with your very own self... the head trying to get the tail!
The secret is to just stop trying to prove things to yourself. When you do that the battle is over!
Wow, the demons don't get the elixir because they get so easily distracted with physical things that
they fail to see it right in front of them!
That is how you rise: by being at peace with everything!!

Saturn is the planet of psychological complexes (so that we can work things out and realize the battle
is an illusion).
So, we have to use Saturn for what he's meant to do and become at peace with all parts of ourselves.
The turtle was just bearing it while the opposite sides were doing the work, so we just have to be at
peace that everything is just serving the purpose of turning the tide, so that we may get the liquid of
liberation. Until then we wait, until then we wait.
If you're thinking about the burden it becomes a lot heavier, but if you stop focusing on it and thinking
about it, all of a sudden you feel light and you notice it's not even there.
Rahu is very similar in its representation, to the earth, and it represents the consciousness that requires

physical incarnation. You cannot experience them in your mind, you have to experience it in a concrete
and material kind of way.
The way we work Rahu out is by just going with the motion
The secret is not to fulfill those desires in a concrete and material way, but to transcend them!
Mantras...gemstones...prayers....rituals... they all keep us stuck! - Rahu. Desires. - they wish to be
experienced in a physical way, and not to be transmuted. Rahu the avatar that manifested in the
beginning of creation. Ketu end of last cycle of creation. Ketu represents liberation. Ketu represents
knowledge in a very deep level (subconscious?) of our our consciousness, the things we know the
things we do, that represents ourselves from lifetimes, whether good or bad, it preserves our essence.
Ketu shows us what has been preserved through our consciousness for lifetimes. And if you have an
afflicted Ketu you have some very painful things in your consciousness that you're carrying with you
from your past lives.
A good Ketu can help you have peace.
- - Baraha is the consort of the Earth (Rahu) - - Cruel Planets: Sun. Mars. Saturn. Mercury if it's aspected by a cruel planet. Rahu & Ketu. Moon
(when is waning).
They are teachers that teach us the hard lessons in life and force us to look at it and work on those
things
CRUEL AND GENTLE IS JUST A MODE OF ACTIVITY, - not what happens, but how it happens.
Gentle Planets: Moon when is waxing, Mercury, (sometimes) Venus and Jupiter.
-Where the Sun is, there is an element of sacrifice, a feeling of separation and lack of complete
connection.
When the Sun takes it takes harshly, it feels lonely, you can be at the top, but there will be no one for
you to relate to. It is lonely from the King's perspective.
The house where the Sun is... the house that is ruled by leo...
-Mars can either bring or take (depending on the chart) but either way it does so with a struggle. Mars
does not give anything gently. Mars may frustrate us and make us angry, in order to show us where
we're overly attached to, by causing us to overreact to things, and through that what it is we need to
make peace with.
Mars is born of the earth, is the child of the earth. All the wealth from the earth, everything that is
valuable and comes from the earth, or is grown by the earth are all ruled by Mars and they are things
that can lead to great fortune, but they usually come with some extent of hardship.
Mars rules the hardships that can be solved: the engineering problems, the fire that can be put out, the
surgery that can be performed...
With Saturn, we just have to live out that phase until it changes, you cannot fix or change it, you just
have to wait it out, suffer and persevere, until it ends.
Saturn separates us from things to show us where we're lacking. It makes us feel empty on that
aspect.
People with a strong Saturn can persevere through anything. They are strong. Even in day to day things

and learning new skills, these people have what it takes to see it through until completion.
People with weak Saturns cannot persevere they feel the burden is too hard.
Rahu is akin to Saturn. When it gives and takes it does so very much in the same fashion as Saturn,
except that there is an element of the unexpected and of unexpected change and confusion.
Ketu is like Mars in that he forces us to overcome past attachments and old paradigms it can cause to
feel frustrated or discontent as we adjust our perceptions. When it gives us something it does so with a
bit of frustration.
Waning moon. When it gives something we usually have to let go of something in order to achieve it, it
comes with a certain degree of exchange and there is not much room for building. There is something
inward that we usually need to let go of. There is an adjustment in attitude and circumstance.
When the Waxing Moon gives it does so in addition to something else, and something else, and allows
us to build. It's easier and more comfortable.
When it takes it does so in a smoother way, we feel support, comfort and understanding.
The Waxing Moon allows us to fulfill our desires. It makes us happier.
Mercury takes on the characteristics of the planet it's influencing.
It's cruel if it's with a cruel planet. If its alone or with a gentle planet it is gentle too. Mercury rules the
middle ground, and it can go wither way.
Mercury, like Jupiter, increases the capacity for things to be manifested. Any house joined or aspected
by Mercury is the house you'll simply have more of in your life. It is AMPLIFIED (And if it's cruel
you're gonna get it in a more cruel way, depending on the planet he's with).
Mercury loves playing the game of life, he'll have fun and enjoy his experiences! He's more cunning
and creative even with his problems and challenges.
Mercury has a sense of humor.
When he takes he does so with comfort and consolation. It will also provide you with the information
to become a better player. When Mercury is with a cruel planet you'll have to learn how to accept, how
to persevere.
Jupiter and Venus will always give some comfort and understanding when they are involved in a loss or
a taking. They ease the pain and help heal.
Jupiter will give hope, wisdom, a flash of inspiration, help you focus on your real purpose and see the
bigger picture.
When Jupiter gives it gives in perspective of hope, wisdom, knowledge, vision and a sense of purpose
and optimism towards what it's giving. (As opposed to Saturn, who can give with no sense of
purpose- kids, marriage, etc.)
Venus will give us the friend, the movie, the new car, the tangible distraction.
When Venus gives it does so with the most comfort, luxury, and generosity. It is the best giver.
Mercury is the player, he is fun and loves a sense of humor, so when he takes he immediately thinks
how it can learn and grow and be better from it. It also rules friends, so it may bring you friends to help
during that time.
To see how hard or easy one's life will be: check 1st 4th 7th 10th houses and see if there are more gentle or
cruel planets. (?) ----Whenever you're starting a new phase or something new, make sure you've got
more gentle planets on an angle.------

SUN:
The Sun represents ones soul. If the Sun is afflicted we're not in touch with our soul, it indicates an
unbalanced sense of oneself, either through being egocentric or a lack of self esteem.
The Sun is the vivifier, what illuminates and brings things into activity. It makes everything alive and
happen. Our Soul.
The Sun is what indicates our goals and ambitions.
An afflicted Sun is like having a kingdom with no King. Scattered ambition.
A healthy sun is a healthy direction and ambition. Great perseverance.
MOON:
The moon represents the mind, the root of our consciousness, the personality, the self, the sense of I.
If the moon is afflicted the person is not at peace with their sense of I, with their own individuality and
can be egocentric.
When it's well situated they're at peace with their ego.
The moon lets us see if we're dealing with a happy ego or not, so it is in some ways even more
important than looking at the Sun in a chart. The moon is the part that everybody gets to see in you, it's
the personality.
The moon is who approves or disproves the idea. A healthy sun and moon gives the person the ability
to see both sides and angles, the pros and cons, of an idea. An afflicted Moon will be unrealistic and
person will get frustrated and discouraged. This person will not want to hear the cons, they don't want
to face or deal with the negative possibilities (not good for relationships)
The moon is what we always feel in the end.
MARS:
Mars is goodness, purity and strength of character. The ability to get a job done, someone you can rely
on, someone who doesn't have a need to prove themselves because they are confident. People that have
a good Mars have a good character. They are dependable. Confident.
An afflicted Mars denotes a competitive nature, which comes from a need to prove its character to
others, but ultimately to itself. Feisty and Troublemaker.
MERCURY:
Mercury is the consciousness spoken, giving speech. Mercury is the child of the moon, it's the child or
the product of the consciousness, of the mind. The part of our consciousness that we show and that we
share.
If Mercury is afflicted it may take the person longer to form words and develop speech, to put into
words that which is in their consciousness. It can mean shyness.
Mercury is the young sovereign he, along with Mars, will manage the Sun and Moon's affairs, they take
the actions, and are who make things happen. Mercury is the manager of the affair, Mars is the
conductor. He deals with the nuts and bolts. (However, Mercury and Mars don't really get along)
A healthy Mercury indicates a person who is good at managing, organizing, and seeing a plan into
fruition.
A good Mars has good strength of character and knows when to take action. An afflicted Mars may
think twice before taking action and can't go through the next step, we may also fail at the last minute
and not complete the action.
JUPITER:
Jupiter rules the Ether, and therefore it rules sound.
Jupiter is joyous wisdom. Optimism. A sense of purpose.

Jupiter and Venus are the Sun and Moon's counselors.

Jupiter will counsel about the moral and philosophical point of view in the context of the purpose of
our life.
A healthy Jupiter lets us hear what our purpose is and get clear and wise advise.
An ill shaped Jupiter, a person may not really be clear about their purpose. Too many directions.
Venus counsels in a more practical and earthy type of way. Its counsels are about mundane affairs.
VENUS:
Venus is the giver of vitality. Beauty. Potency. Your Chi, Prana. Health. Energy, and energy of presence.
Lustrous. Good immune system. Strength, especially physical strength. (Mars gives us the discipline).
Venus represents recovery. A good Venus gives a good capacity for physical recovery!
SATURN:
Saturn is difficult sorrow. The only sorrow is only that which we don't have within ourselves. It's where
we project our own weaknesses and lacks.
A person with a bad Saturn never really learns and life just gets heavier and heavier, and they feel
emptier and emptier. They can feel like giving up on life.
Saturn and Mars help us struggle against our own shortcomings. Saturn with our own lack and inner
demons and happiness, and Mars helps us to become stronger and have a better character. They are our
personal trainers. If they are good in our charts, as we age we become better and wiser people, and
grow past our difficulties, even if we have years of pain and difficulty, we learn, grow and become
stronger, better ppl. With time and age, people with strong Mars and Saturns have less and less a need
or desire for physical things and to engage in conflicts and disputes. They can help with renunciation.
When Mars and Saturn are afflicted the person is constantly looking for happiness that is never found
and they become more miserable with life... grumpy old ppl.
Saturn is the menial. He is noticeable and we know when he's coming. Saturn represents the menial
tasks, the things we don't want to do but that but that are necessary to get things done. (The waiting,
the work, the day-to-day tiring tasks...)
RAHU & KETU: - OUR PATH
Rahu and Ketu are the army. Ketu represents the gained and conquered territoty.
Rahu represents that which the army has not yet conquered but that is aiming to.
-Rahu rules unfounded fears - the biggest things we have to do.
Rahu and Ketu show where the biggest things we have to deal with in life are
Rahu in the 1st house indicates dealing with finding our true nature as as individual.
Rahu in the 2nd house indicates dealing with self sufficiency
Rahu in the the 8th house we are learning how to trust and benefit from other people
Rahu in the 10th we are learning how to manage our life
Rahu in the 4th we are learning about inner security
..
Wherever Rahu is, is where our life's focus will be. If we can win that battle we have achieved our goal
in this life.

Ketu, the flag, represents the big things we have accomplished, the big battles we have overcome, the
grounds we have gained.
Whatever house Ketu is in represents the things we have completed and established and .
Rahu is where we lack the most confidence and feel most insecure. Ketu is where we are the most
secure and confident.
Ketu shows the things we have established and mastered. Rahu shows the things we have yet to do.
Any planets working with them are equally things we have to develop and work with as well.
When the Sun or Moon are conjunct Rahu and Ketu things can feel intense. Out of proportion, and we
can lack proper perspective.
The moon can make things seem and feel bigger than they are.... love, hardships, etc. They are
extremists
The Sun can make the person experience themselves as being small and everything next to it seems
huge.
