Why CtP and what were your expectations of the
PlateWriter 2000?
“We chose CtP to move back to a metal plate, so we
could re-gum and save as many plates as possible.
Our company does a lot of repeat business with
customers and saving money on plates was one
thing I was really hoping to do.”
Why did you choose the
PlateWriter 2400?
“We were looking to replace a
poly machine with an inexpensive
metal CtP. After careful
consideration we chose the
PlatewriterTM 2000 as it fit well
with our applications.”
What has been your most pleasant
surprise or feature?
“At first, I was a little concerned
with the reproduction of the new
i-screening process, but after we
put it to the test, we’ve found that
our picture quality is much better
than with traditional screening.
The chemical free plate
processing is pretty nice too.”
How is the quality?
“I would say the quality is comparable to the high
end Thermal and IR machines on the market, at just
a fraction of the price.”
How is the registration?
“Registration from plate-to-
plate is fantastic, and we don’t
have to worry about the metal
plate stretching or skewing like
a poly plate.”
Additional comments?
“As with all new equipment,
we had a few snags in the
networking process, but thanks
to G&J’s on-site technician and
the technician at the factory,
the headache was minimal.
An impressive machine and
fantastic technical support,
I am a very satisfied customer.”
Would you recommend the

“I would and I have.”
