How the current Malaysian Budget will assist/create issues on unemployment

As stated in Malaysians budget 2016, the unemployment became one of the concern for
government to overcome this problem. The growth of company and business in Malaysia
help in introduce jobs to fresh graduates and unemployment, it one of the opportunity should
be grab by them. Government initiatives to help improve the workers quality is one of the
good way to improve our level force same level as developed country.
Empowering human capital became one of the top three in Malaysia 2016 budget, will be a
big solution or burden for government to handle the employment issue? It was a big question
why government spend increase more than budget 2015 on this development. We can see
clearly that government try to come up with initiative to help in train skilful worker for
industry but it will be a waste expense if the programs that have been plan not that help our
workforce.
An additional 30% fund allocation for Sarawak and Sabah in human resource development is
something need to be monitor tightly, to ensure that fund used correctly. We cannot let the
high level management wrongly used the funds, it should be fully used to make sure budget
objectives achieve as we want to create high skill workers with global recognition. It will be a
huge benefit for government also to take local industries there to increase production to
maximum and optimum output. It will also be a centre for development in skilled worker for
industries, rather send West Malaysian workers to work there it will be great advantages for
local workers to work there as they know the environment and culture there.
Our prime minister also said, additional 15,000 participants under the 1Malaysia Training
Scheme (SL1M) with an allocation of RM250 million which will be fully financed by GLCs
(government-linked corporations).
It will be a good training for fresh graduates to prepare for their new working world. As it
become government responsibility to produce high skilled worker for industries rather than
do not give any training and knowledge about working to them. In our opinion, government
try the best to retrain and develop workers for industries, but we cannot do anything if our
generation still be picky about the jobs. They also have to accept the challenge to be in
industries, it will be such a burden if the trained worker still picky about the job after the
training that they have received.

In meantime, we know that company also give training for their employees rather the new or
old employed. If we government can leave this responsibility to company, the budget can be
used for other important things such as help the poor people and build infrastructures for
public uses. The will be more beneficial for country and people because the company more
know about their need for their workers to have for they to compete in industries.
Next, the additional budget for management of foreign workers for sum of RM 77 million
seem not fair. We want our country have skilled workers, why we give many fund to train
foreign worker. It one of the reason why our unemployment increased, we just import foreign
workers to various job as we forget that our people should occupied that works. It is not a
problem to bring foreign worker, but if there too many import worker it will make our GNP
decrease as the money flow out to their country. Government should minimize and revise the
amount of the expenses because train and replace local worker in selected fields will be much
beneficial for country.
Lastly, our Prime Minister promise to building a gender-diverse workforce will also be the
important element in job nowadays.
The government remains committed to achieving at least 30% participation of women in
decision-making positions in the public and private sectors, he said on her speech during the
Budget 2016 presentation at Dewan Parlimen.
The participation of women also includes at the board director level. It will be a good call to
ensure women also participate in making decision in the company and come up with
innovative and creative solution for company.
