an Organization.

: A Study on Stress Management in

7. Problem Statement
:
Most organizations with the aim of attaining higher productivity end up
saddling employees with overload of work in order to meet deadline
and this might have psychological and physical effects on the
employees which may result in something contrary to what these
organizations want to achieve. Although organizations are paying more
attention than in the past to the consequences of the trauma their
employees go through when they place extra-ordinary demands on
them, there is still more room for improvement. Again to generate
enough revenue to be self-sustaining and to be able to fund the
acquisition of modern equipment meant efficient service provision and
optimal employment of resources.

For this reason there has been the need for a continuous change in
management strategies and administration, and the demands on
employees to perform have been increasing. This has brought a lot of
pressure on the employees, who are expected to deliver a world class
service without the corresponding increase resources and training, yet
those who fail to deliver are threatened with dismissal and other forms
of punishment. With jobs very difficult to come by these days in Ghana,
many employees are crumbling under this pressure. Cases of employee
stress are therefore on the ascendancy.

you

it,
thereby deriving personal benefit from the course.
9. Methodology to be used

Exploratory research is research conducted for a problem that has not

been clearly defined. It often occurs before we know enough to make
conceptual distinctions or posit an explanatory relationship.
Exploratory research helps determine the best research design, data
collection method and selection of subjects.
Purpose:
The main purpose of this research is to determine the important drivers
of job stress and to analyze the effect of job stress on the performance
of the Management students or future entrepreneurs.
Research Design:
The survey method is the basic research design. The structured
questionnaire was administered to the respondents, which solicits
information about their level of job stress.
Sample Size:
A survey of approximately 150 employee working in different
organizations provided the database for this study. The sampling
technique used was convenience sampling under this sample of

respondents was chosen according to the convenience of the

researcher.
Data Collection:
The purpose of research was explained to the employees and
questionnaires were being administered to them.

etc.

Methodology:
Document analysis, Interviews, Observations, and Exit interviews
Data collection:
1. Primary Data Collection: survey, questionnaire, data analysis
2. Secondary Data Collection: internet, newspaper, books

Evaluation
After scoring the questions, the raw data are used to draw charts.
These charts are further analyzed to draw inferences and deductions
about the impact of job stress and to identify the main methods to
remove stress.
