1. to understand the concept of feedback element and control system

UNIT-1: INTRODUCTION TO CONTROL SYSTEM


Control system, types, open and closed loop system,feed back concept, idle control system,
types of controllers
UNIT-2: MATHEMATICAL MODELS
Transfer function, spring-damper system,DC motors,AC motors, thermal system, hydraulic
systems, analogous system,numericals.
UNIT-3 BLOCK DIAGRAM AND SIGNAL FLOW GRAPHS
Concept of block diagram, transfer function, numerical based on block reduction technique,
Concept of signal flow graphs, mansons gain formula, numericals.
UNIT-4: TRANSIENT STATE RESPONSE ANALYSIS
Introduction,first and second order system response,ramp and impulse inputs,system
stability,R-H criteria,importance of speed of response, numericals
UNIT-5: FREQUENCY RESPONSE ANALYSIS USING POLAR AND NYQUIST
PLOTS
