INTRODUCERE
Android ).

Applications CT-1025 router

Many advanced network features are provided with the CT-1025-router:
Wired LAN The CT-1025 provides connectivity to wired Ethernet devices, making it
easy to create
a network in small offices or homes.
Internet Access This device supports Internet access through a WAN connection.
Since many DSL providers
use PPPoE, PPTP, or L2TP to establish communications with end users,
the CT-1025 includes built-in clients for these protocols, eliminating the need to
install these services on
your computer.
Shared IP Address The CT-1025 provides Internet access for up to 253 users using a
single shared
IP address account.
Virtual Server If you have a fixed IP address, you can set the Wireless Router to act
as a virtual host for network address translation. Remote users access various services at
your sitesing a static IP address. Then, depending on the requested service (or port
number), the Wireless Router can route the request to the appropriate server (at another
internal IP address). This secures your network from direct attack by hackers, and provides
more flexible management by allowing you to change internal IP addresses without
affecting outside access to your network.
DMZ Host Support Allows a networked computer to be fully exposed to the Internet.
This function is used when NAT and firewall security prevent an Internet
application from
functioning correctly.
Security The CT-1025 supports security features that deny Internet access to
specified users, or filter all
requests for specific services. WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) and MAC filtering
provide security over the
wireless network.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Passthrough The CT-1025 supports the
passthrough of three of the
most commonly used VPN protocols IPsec, PPTP, and L2TP. These protocols allow
remote users to
establish a secure connection to another network. If your service provider
supports VPNs, then these
protocols can be used to create an authenticated and encrypted tunnel for
passing secure data over the
Internet (that is, a traditionally shared data network).

INITIAL INSTALLATION
Mount the small, black antenna onto the CT-1025 USB Router and connect the USB cable,
leading from the
CT-1024 external antenna adapter to the 3G USB Port. Also: mount the white 7dbi (1024) or
9dbi (1029) onto the antenna adapter.

Connect the 12VDC powerplug to the DC Power Socket and connect the netadapter to your
powerline.

Or use the CT-1031 12VDC connector to obtain the power from your vehicle using the
cigarette lighter.
If you connect the 12VDC powerline directly to the vehicles powercircuit, then you heve to
cut the netadapter from the powerline and connect both the + and line to the
corresponding wiring in your vehicle.
Be careful! Do not exchange + and - !
NB: Check carefully what wire is + or -. If you mismatch the connection with
your vehicles wiring, the router is irreparably damaged and warranty will be
void.
Now the router starts and the Power LED will lit.
If a PC or laptop has been connected to the LAN-port by a LAN-cable, the LAN LED will lit
accordingly.
After 30-60 seconds the WLAN LED lits/flashes, which means that the wifi signal is available.
Now the wifi can be used to configure the router using a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

The central LED (3G USB) remains off. As soon as an internetconnection has been
established, this LED will be lit.

CONNECTING THE CT-1025 ROUTER

The CT-1025 USB router ofers a user-friendly web-based management
interface for the configuration of all the units features. Any PC, laptop, tablet
or smartphone can be used to connect, wired or wireless, to access the
management intreface using a common webbrowser, such as IE, Safari of
Mozilla, Chrome.
Connecting to the router
It is recommended to make the initial configuration changes by connecting a PC directly to the
CT-1025 LAN-port. Easier, or if no PC is available, is to connect to the network generated by
CT-1025, called: 11N_3G_Router_AP.
After being connected with this wifi network, start your browser and go to URL:
192.168.2.1 which is the routers default IP-address (if you made a wired connection, the
subnet mask is: 255.255.255.0).

Listing the available wifi networks

surrounding you, you can find the CT-1025
router named: 11N 3G Router_AP
Click this to connect to this network.
If Windows security shows next window, then select:
Public Network

Wired connection using LAN:

Your PC or laptop must be able to connect to the CT-1025 by using the IP-address:
192.168.2.1

CONNECTED but no internet available? What can we do?

CT-1025 default LAN IP-address is 192.168.2.1
This default IP-address is also used by many routers/modems. So it might bet hat you
connected the CT-1025 to a router using the same IP-address-range. This is conclicting!
So we have to modify the CT-1025 address range into a different one.
See next example showing you the conflicting IP-address-ranges:

Next example shows you how to modify the LAN-IP-address-range:

Select the menu Advanced and go to the option LAN

Modify at LAN Setup the IP Address from 192.168.2.1 to for example 192.168.3.1:
Only modify the third number, select a number between 2 and 250.

The connected IP-range is automatically updated.

Click [Apply] to store the new settings.
Now CT-1025 starts a reboot. Just wait till the reboot has been finished.

After restart your browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome) will show you the Status Screen (see
screen shot on next page).
NB: From now on CT-1025 router must be connected with the new IP-address:
192.168.x.1 !
If the router does not automatically performs a restart, switch the 12VDC power
of and on and reconnect to the router.
Now the internet connection shows Connected and the blue LED USB on the router is on.

10

On the Status Screen the new setting scan be checked.

PROBLEMS

Unable to find any hotspots using SITE SURVEY

If only your own network (11N_3G_Router_AP) is found, then apparently the are no more
hotspots nearby to connect to. If no network appears at all, then the CT-1024 antenna is not
or poorly connected or malfunctioning. Sometimes the disconnection and reconnection of
the 12VDC power is solving this problem.

The Status is Connected but there is no internet available

Sometimes a found hotspot is too far away or its signal is too weak to perform a stable
connection.
Sometimes a hotspot is unsecured, but is set in a wayu that it does not provide you with an
IP address.
Though the connection is fine, you are not connected to the internet.

No respons from CT-1025 on your browser

In extreme cases where CT-1025 no longer responds, the utmost solution is to reset the
router to factory default. Press for 5 seconds with a pencil the red button on the bottom of
CT-1025 and wait till the router is on air
All settings are lost and must be repeated.

11

CT-1025 OPERATING USING A DONGLE

If no useful network can be found using the CT-1024 external adapter, CT-1025 can also be
operated by using a dongle equipped with a working sim-card delivered by a telecom
provider.
A list with supported dongles can be found on: www.campertv.nl
Before operating CT-1025 with a dongle, the router has to be initiated to operate that way.
Go to Easy Setup to change the CT-1025 functioning.
Select 3G dongle and enter the data obtained from you sim-card provider.

Pin Code Protect leave blank

Dial code is usually *99#
APN-Service: available from your telecom-provider.
Username en Password leave blank
Buget Control do not use
Click [Next], to reboot the router to enable the dongle function.
After rebooting and restarting (Wizard succesful!) you can mount your dongle.
The dongle wil now get in touch with your telecom-provider and indicates the connectionstatus has been established (see next screenshot). De blauwe USB-led flashes while
setting up the telecom-connection.
Once the USB-led is steady, the 3G connection has been made and you can start surfing
the internet.

Attention:
There is no other way disabling the 3G-connection with your telecom provider
then dismounting the dongle from the router. Refusing this means that the
connection remains and the cost of the 3G connection continues!

12

tot hat provider. You could connect a PC directly to the LAN port using a LAN-cable. Using
a hub more than one PC can use this connection, even wireless.

EXTENDING WIFI RANGE WITH MAX. 3 CT-1025 USB ROUTERS (WDS)

The radio interface can be configured to operate in a mode that allows it to forward traffic
directly to other CT-1025 units. This feature can be used to extend the range of the

wireless network to reach remote clients, or to link disconnected network segments to an

Internet connection.
To set up links between units, you must configure the Wireless Distribution
System (WDS) forwarding table by specifying the wireless MAC address of all units to which
you want to forward traffic.
An example:

mperTV.nl
magro-service.nl

13
Setup:
Using a LAN-ethernet-cable the first CT-1025 is connected to a LAN-port of an internet
modem (cable or DSL). The cable has tob e connected to the WAN-port of the CT-1025.
At the edge of the range of this CT-1025 one are more CT-1025-routers are placed.
Every CT-1025, used in this extensionsystem, must be configured fort his specific function.
Go to Easy Setup and select Bridge (AP)

All used routers must have the same SSID, so modify this in all routers at SSID Choice
All routers have to function on the same frequency (radio channel).
After setup by clicking [Done] some WDS-configuration has tob e done using Advanced
WDS.

Set WDS-mode to Bridge Mode. Next screenshot shows up:
