INTRODUCERE

RJ-45 LAN PORT : There is only one 10/100BASE-TX RJ-45 port available to connect a PC.
This port automatically recognizes the use of a direct or crossed LAN cable.
3G & USB Wireless Card USB PORT : Supports the connection with a 3G-network using
a 3G-dongle; or the connection with the CT-1024/1029 external Powerful wifi-antenna.
DC POWER CONNECTOR : CT-1025 has to be supplied with 12VDC power, delivered by
the supplied power supply. Using other power supplies might void the warranty. The
netadaptercan be connected to a powerline supplying a voltage between 100~240 volts
(50 or 60 Hz) and generates 12 volt DC to be used by the router.
12V DC can also be obtained from your 12V DC household battery.
WPS button : Pressing this switch ensures that the CT-1025 router automatically
synchronizes with other WPS devices in the Wi-Fi network.
RESET button : The Reset button is used to return the CT-1025 onto factory settings. If the
button is pressed for 5 seconds while the power supply is connected, all settings expire and
will be set to the stored default state.

INITIAL INSTALLATION
Mount the small, black antenna onto the CT-1025 USB Router and connect the USB cable,
leading from the
CT-1024 external antenna adapter to the 3G USB Port. Also: mount the white 7dbi (1024) or
9dbi (1029) onto the antenna adapter.
Connect the 12VDC powerplug to the DC Power Socket and connect the netadapter to your
powerline.
Or use the CT-1031 12VDC connector to obtain the power from your vehicle using the
cigarette lighter.
If you connect the 12VDC powerline directly to the vehicles powercircuit, then you heve to
cut the netadapter from the powerline and connect both the + and line to the
corresponding wiring in your vehicle.
Be careful! Do not exchange + and - !
NB: Check carefully what wire is + or -. If you mismatch the connection with
your vehicles wiring, the router is irreparably damaged and warranty will be
void.
Now the router starts and the Power LED will lit.
If a PC or laptop has been connected to the LAN-port by a LAN-cable, the LAN LED will lit
accordingly.
After 30-60 seconds the WLAN LED lits/flashes, which means that the wifi signal is available.
Now the wifi can be used to configure the router using a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
The central LED (3G USB) remains off. As soon as an internetconnection has been
established, this LED will be lit.
After logging in into the web interface, the Status Screen is displayed:
After selecting the connection type some screens follow to fill out some parameters
needed.
After completing all necessary settings the router starts a System Reboot.
Wait till the reboot has come to an end. After rebooting the router will perform as
requested.
After selecting [USB Wireless adapter] next screen appears, requesting some parameters:
Hostname specifies the host name of this CT-1025. (Default: 11N 3G Router_AP )
Create a name.
Primary DNS Server - leave blank
Secondary DNS Server - leave blank
SSID leave blank
Networktype select [Infrastructure] and click the button: [Site Survey]
Security Mode Specifies the security mode for the SSID. Select the security
method and then configure
the required parameters. (Options: Disabled, Open,
Shared, WEP-AUTO, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK_WPA2-PSK, WPA, WPA2,
WPA1_WPA2,
802.1X; Default: Disabled)
After clicking the button [Site Survey] the connected CT-1024-antenna starts to look for all
available hotspots.
For example next list has been generated and displayed:
Select in the most left column the SSID that you attempt to connect to.
Hotspots with Authentication = None are open hotspots. No security key needed on
connection.
Preferable is an open hotspot with a strong signal.
Our CT-1025 (11N 3G Router_AP) also shows up on the list, but must not be selected.
If you cannot find a prefered hotspot on the list, click [Rescan] to restart the Site Survey
scan.
After selecting a hotspot (SSID), click [Select].
The data concerning the selected SSID is autofilled in the concerning fields.
If requested (after selected a secured SSID) input the pass key and type (WPA or WEP), if
known.
Take care that the password is case sensitive.
7
Modify the Hostname to avoid confusion with other CT-1025-routers. Create
your own name.
Remember your new created SSID tob e able to select your router from the
networklist in future.
This modification can also be done in the next screen at SSID Choice
In the next examples the SSID name has been changed from
11N_3G_USB_Router into Camper
Social use:
It is not necessary to set up a security. After all, we work with a remote router, which is or
is not secure itself. By not giving in security, you also grant others around you the
opportunity to access the Internet via this connection.
Now click [Next] to obtain the next screen.

After establishing the connection (Connected) with
CT-1025 router, start the browser (IE, Firefox, Safari,
Chrome) to enter
the router.
In the browser go to URL: 192.168.2.1/home.asp
The router comes in with the Status Screen, showing all connection data, including the
Connection Status: Connected
Internet is on!
Modify at LAN Setup the IP Address from 192.168.2.1 to for example 192.168.3.1:
Only modify the third number, select a number between 2 and 250.
After restart your browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome) will show you the Status Screen (see
screen shot on next page).
NB: From now on CT-1025 router must be connected with the new IP-address:
192.168.x.1 !
If the router does not automatically performs a restart, switch the 12VDC power
of and on and reconnect to the router.
Now the internet connection shows Connected and the blue LED USB on the router is on.

PROBLEMS
11
Attention:
There is no other way disabling the 3G-connection with your telecom provider
then dismounting the dongle from the router. Refusing this means that the
connection remains and the cost of the 3G connection continues!
12
After entering all data obtained from your internet provider, the router will start connecting
tot hat provider. You could connect a PC directly to the LAN port using a LAN-cable. Using
a hub more than one PC can use this connection, even wireless.
