Hello

Today I will summarize the program about traffic jam.

Have you ever experienced a long time traffic jam? I think most of you say yes
The question
In 2010, one of the worlds longest jams occurred in Beijing in China. How long was it?
a) 50 kilometres

b) 100 kilometres

c) 200 kilometres

answer:
This traffic jam was 100 km long. It happened on the Beijing to Tibet Expressway and lasted 12
days! In some developing countries, Traffic jam is a big problem, which wastes time, causes
pollution and reduces quality of life. In the morning rush hour, They could spend hours just trying
to make a relatively short journey to work. it would be quicker to walk!
However, many people become richer, cost of cars are considerable, So they want to own a car.
What if everyone had a car, the world will have 4 billion cars by 2050 every road will be filled
cars, we can not move. a chaotic mix of vehicles which are crammed bumper to bumper, I
mean they move closely together in the citys streets.
How to cope with this problem. We should stop using cars. I dont think so because we love cars,
which make our life better. The solution will have to be technological to find smart ways of getting
less polluting cars and cars that can pack much tighter and get much more efficiently around
town.
There are some ideas to solve the problem:
One company is already designing a city car which actually folds.
Another is designing a thinner car with two wheels like a motorbike but more stable.
Self-driving robot cars that can save space on the road by driving closer to the car in front.

Dark tourism
Hi thuy
I would like to comment on your talk. You bring to me a new concept of tourism
I know that dark tourism are places related to bad things that could be considered morally wrong.
For example: the nuclear power station in Chernoby, the battlefields of first and second World
War etc.
I think in Vietnam, dark tourism have been very popular because Vietnam has many historical
sites which connected to revolution of Vietnam and war crime
Nowadays Dark tourism are an attractive destination for tourists. They help visitors understand
what happened in the past and they can record the events in their mind longer.
If you have a chance to go around the site, it will make your historical lesson colorful.
Improve my knowledge
in which year Robben island finally closed as a prison?
in 1996. About 350,000 people now visit the prison where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18
years.

Hello

Today I will summarize the program about effect of sleep on learning.

A research has show that getting not enough sleep can have a negative effect on our ability to
learn. Researchers from a College in the USA have found the lack of sleep is a
significant factor in achievement of school pupils. Especially in wealthier countries such as the
united state, England . etc.. in which, students are more affected by technology from their home
life. Instead of having a good nights sleep, they stay awake with computer, tv. So on

The survey found 80% of 13 and 14-year olds in the US lack of sleep.
The international average was 57%.

William Myers, Principal at South River High School says:

this is a challenge for teachers because students who are sleepy, even lethargic

[le':dik] at the

end of the day So he have to put a lot of work into keeping them alert and keeping them excited
about school.

And this research showed children with more sleep achieve higher test results in maths, science
and reading.

Scientists believe the lack of sleep causes your brain to run on empty. so there are more serious
problems with students staying up late before they got to bed. For example obesity
mood swings and behavior problems

To cope with these problem students should go to bed earlier

That is program today.
