Talk 1: The Journey

It is not that I have already taken hold of it or have already attained perfect maturity but
I continue my pursuit in the hope that I may possess it, since I have indeed been taken
possession of by Christ. Phil 3:12

HOWEVER, WHOEVER. And the WHYEVER is because great is His
love for us, for us to belong to Him completely.

Talk 2: Journeying with Christ in Our Pursuit

Philippians 3:12 - I continue my pursuit in the hope that I may possess it

God never gets tired of loving us and pursuing us! He wants to be with us
every step of the way in our pursuit.
Regardless of the stage of our relationship with God, there will beroom
for a deeper relationship because we can never exhaust Hiscapacity to
show us His limitless love for us.
We want to assure ourselves of two things: we finish the journey and that
we journey with Christ.
In pursuing our oneness with Christ, we just follow the path He has
already given us.
We are accompanied by Him who will make sure we will reach our
long-awaited prize at the end of our journey!

Talk 3: Empty Pursuits

For his sake I have accepted the loss of all things and I consider them so much
rubbish, that I may gain Christ... Phil 3:8

Looking at our lives, we realize that we are in pursuit of lesser things

which we think or hope will lead us to this fullness of life, but oftentimes
leave us either unsatisfied or yearning for more..
Our Empty Pursuits - There is nothing wrong with these four pursuits
except when they begin to consume us or to take greater priority than
our pursuit of Christ.
God calls us to surrender our empty pursuits to Him and redirect our
tracks toward Him.
In surrendering to God all other pursuits aside from Him, we focus
everything we have and everything we are on the Greatest Pursuit: the
Lord our God.

Talk 4: The Prize of the Pursuit

I continue my pursuit toward the goal, the prize of God's upward calling, in
Christ Jesus. Phil 3:14

God will not stop pursuing us until we are where He knows we are
meant to be, until we have been perfected in Him.
Christ desires to bring us to heaven; to experience that perfect
union with Him in heaven.
Not success in life, not wealth, not happiness, not even our service
in SFC. Whatever good things we are blessed to experience in our
earthly journey is meant to help us reach that upward calling.
If we will continue to press on and strive to deepen our intimacy
with Christ, then little by little we will become more and more like
Him.
