 Our Future Plans
PHASE III:

• Hero Honda wishes to set-up an exclusive 2-

wheeler Safety Riding Training School at
Delhi in association with the Transport
department, Govt. of NCT, Delhi
 Objectives
PHASE III:
• To create a sense of road safety and good
riding habits to 2-wheeler riders and public at
large
• To supplement the efforts of Traffic Police in
reducing road accidents and save human
lives
 Present Scenario
PHASE III:

• In our country, the population of 2-wheelers

accounts for nearly 80% of the total vehicle
population. In Delhi alone, the total vehicle
population is approx. 3.7 millions.
• However, in the absence of any formal
training institution for 2-wheelers, the riders
are deprived of learning the fundamentals of
riding and road safety.
 Infrastructure
PHASE III:
• The school will be state-of-the-art with riding
simulators, safety riding tracks, road stretches with
varying road conditions and safety riding equipment.

 Curriculum
PHASE III:
Broadly speaking, we intend to conduct the following activities:
• Safety awareness programme for 2-wheeler riders,
school/ college students and all road users
• Safety riding training courses for beginners who wish
to obtain learner’s license – as per the syllabus of our
Transport Department
• Safety riding trg. course for those who wish to obtain
confirmed license
• Road safety quiz, essay competition, seminars etc.

The above activities may be modified as per the requirement

and directions of the Transport department, Govt. of NCT, Delhi.
 Our Expertise
PHASE III:
• Hero Honda has acquired the expertise of imparting world-class
training to riders on the safety riding skills from its partner
Honda, Japan. Our qualified & skilled instructors shall impart
training at the proposed Safety Riding School.

However, we shall look forward to our Transport department,

Govt. of NCT, Delhi and Delhi Traffic Police to join us in
conducting theory classes on the Road Signs & Signals and
other related fields.
Safety Riding School function
pattern
PHASE III:
• In order to bring in uniformity in the system,
Hero Honda would like to operate the Safety
Riding School inline with the pattern set by
the Transport Department, Govt. of NCT,
Delhi at IDTR, Loni.
Contents and duration of the
training courses
PHASE III:
• All our courses shall comprise of theory &
practical training. In order to make it user’s
friendly, we intend to offer flexibility of timings
for the practical training.
• However, the exact contents & duration of
the course shall be designed in consultation
with officials of the Transport department,
Govt. of NCT, Delhi.
 Course fee
PHASE III:

• It may be decided by the Transport

department, Govt. of NCT, inline with the
existing fee structure applicable to IDTR, Loni
or by the governing body.
 Our request
PHASE III:
We understand that our Govt. of NCT, Delhi has provided land to
IDTR, Loni, being run by Maruti Udyog under the ‘FAITH’ scheme of
Baghidari. Also is providing land to Askok Leyland to establish some
training school at Burari. In the light of above, we would like to
request our Ministry of Transport, NCT, Govt. of Delhi to provide us
with:
1. Minimum. 5 acres of land preferably at some
centre location in Delhi to set-up the Safety
Riding School
2. Any grant or aids from the Govt. from time to
time to run the institute.
