BODY
Cast on 186 (198) 214 (226) 242 (258) stitches with
color 3 on smaller needles and knit 4 rows of
stockinette back and forth ( = rolled hem). Start the
ribbing, back and forth, 2x2 ribbing until ribbing
measures 5 cm. Switch to larger needles and
change to color 6. Add 6 new stitches at the end of
the round (= steek stitches). These 6 stitches mark
the beginning of the round and will always be
purled.
This is where you will steek (= cut) when the
garment is complete. These stitches are not
included in the diagram, are not counted in the
given number of stitches and should not be
decreased when decreasing on the yoke. When
knitting with multiple colors, knit these 6 stitches as
follows: 1st round: *k1 with color 1, k1 with color 2*,
repeat for rest of steek stitches. 2nd round: *k1 with
color 2, knit 1 with color 1* repeat until end of steek
stitches.

Join the stitches and knit in the round, at the same

time decrease 3 (1) 3 (1) 3 (5) stitches evenly across
the first round = 183 (197) 211 (225) 239 (253) stitches.
Place 1 stitch marker after 45. (49.) 52. (56.) 59. (63.)
and a second stitch marker after 138. (148.) 159.
(169.) 180. (190.) stitches in the round = 45 (49) 52 (56)
59 (63) stitches on each side of the front and 93
(99) 107 (113) 121 (127) stitches on the back Continue
knitting in the round in stockinette until the work
measures 30 (31) 32 (33) 34 (35) cm. Knit the pattern as
shown in the diagram until round 29 (22) 22 (22) 18
(18).
Note: on round 22 in the pattern, adjust the number
of stitches to 181 for XS by decreasing 2 stitches
across the back.

Start the decreases for the armhole. Knit to 1 (1) 1

(3) 3 (4) stitches before the first stitch marker, bind
off 2 (2) 2 (6) 6 (8) stitches and bind off the same
stitches at each of the other stitch markers = 44 (48)
51 (53) 56 (59) stitches remaining on each of the
front sides and 89 (97) 105 (107) 115 (119) stitches on
the back. Put work aside and knit sleeves.

SLEEVES
Cast on 48 (48) 52 (52) 52 (52) stitches with color 3 on
smaller needles and knit stockinette in the round for
4 rounds (= rolled edge). Continue in 2x2 rib, until
the ribbing measures 5 cm. Switch to the larger
needles and color 1. Continue in stockinette and
decrease 1 (1) 3 (3) 3 (1) stitches evenly across the
first round = 47 (47) 49 (49) 49 (51) stitches. Place 1
stitch marker at the beginning of the round.
Increase 1 stitch on each side of the stitch marker
every 7. (7.) 6. (6.) 5. (5.) rounds 13 (15) 16 (18) 20 (23)
times = 73 (77) 81 (85) 89 (97) stitches.
Increase as follows:
Knit until one stitch before the marker, pick up the
yarn connecting the stitches, knit through the
loop, knit 2 (increased stitch + stitch after
marker), increase 1 in the same manner.

At the same time, when the work measures 35 (39)

39,5 (40) 41,5 (42,5) cm, knit the pattern as shown in
the diagram. Count out from the arrow to know
where to start. Knit 29 (22) 22 (22) 18 (18) rounds.
In the same round in the pattern as the body
decreases for the armhole, knit until 1 (1) 1 (3) 3 (4)
stitches remaining before marker, bind off 2 (2) 2 (6)
6 (8) stitches - 71 (75) 79 (79) 83 (89) m. Put work
aside and knit the second sleeve in the same
manner.

YOKE
Place all pieces on the same needles as follows,
without knitting them: right front, right arm, back, left
arm, left front - 319 (343) 365 (371) 393 (415)
stitches. Continue

bobbles
Knit front and back in the
same stitch until you
have 5 stitches on the
needle. Turn work and
purl the 5 stitches. Turn
work and k3tog, then knit
2 together through back
of stitch. Pull the k3tog
stitch over the k2tog
stitch. Tighten so the
bobble is nice and round
and continue according
to the diagram.

as described in the diagram.
When finished knitting the diagram, cast off the six
steek stitches. Switch to smaller needles and color
3 and knit back and forth in 2x2 ribbing until the
ribbing measures 5 cm. Knit 4 rounds of stockinette
back and forth (= rolled edge) and bind off
all stitches.

FINISHING
Mark the middle of the steek stitches with a thread
or contrasting yarn. Sew 2 seams with sewing
machine on each side of this thread and cut in
between these seams.
Button-bands: With color 3 and smaller needles,
pick up and knit stitches along the front (inside the
steeked stitches) on the left front. Start at the top of
the ribbing in the neck and knit each stitch until the
end of the ribbing at the bottom of the body (do
not include the rolled hem). Skip every 4th-5th stitch
to avoid the band being too tight or wavy. Work 6
rows of stockinette back and forth and bind off. Set
markers for 7 (7) 7 (9) 9 (9) buttons along the left
band.

The top button should be at the top of the neck

and bottom approximately 2 cm from bottom of
work; space other buttons evenly.
Knit a similar band along the right front, but begin
at the bottom and finish at the top. At the same
time, knit the buttonholes on the 3rd row according
to the marks on the left button band. Knit the
buttonholes as follows: k2tog, yarn-over. Knit the
yarn-over on the next row. The button-bands will
roll.
Fold the steeked edges in and sew them down
neatly. Cover with ribbon or interfacing if desired.
Sew the body and arms together under the arms.
Weave in all ends. Steam the piece lightly to block,
but do not steam the ribbing as it will lose elasticity.
Sew in buttons.
