Twice-Poisoned Feather

Demon-Blooded of Yarika, The Broken Reflection, Second-Circle Soul of Szoreny

Twice-Poisoned Feather was born in the eastern forests, in a silver egg laying in a pool of blood. She was
already a teenager when she got out, not knowing more than the basics of her instincts. Above her layed
a torned-out man or what seemed to be a man and she knew, in a twisted way, that this person was
her father. She stumbled out of the pool and tried to walk a little.
Hello, young lady. Said a slured voice behind her. You seem lost. She turned around to see a
floating ivory mask clad in purple flames. I was told to teach you a few things...

In the village of Kuybo, the rumors are increasing the general fear of the townsfolks. A monster is stealing
identities and is trying to kill everyone. They say the monster was born from the hunger of the forest; that it
is the wicked Anathemas sending it to them as an experiment. They say it's a ghost from the ancestors or
that the faes are coming. No matter what they say, they are always wrong. It is Twice-Poisoned Feather,
simply trying to live as a normal person.
She was teached by the Lying Mask how to take other people's appearance, and she quickly understood
that her own appearance would get her killed in this town. She is simply trying to fit in, but is too shy to
speak directly to the villagers, so she takes on their form and live a few hours in their life. She killed, once,
because the villager saw her true form and tried to kill her, treating her as a demon of some sort, blaming
an unknown man for heresy and trying to raise back the dead ones. She understood nothing except the
danger and stabbed him with a knife until the bleeding stopped.

Twice-Poisoned Feather has left the village. After understanding the heresy of her father, she couldn't
stand to face the villagers and fled. She had discovered that her father was a demon-cultist, dealing in
blood and souls in order to get what it was he needed. After the death of her bride, he called upon Yarika
to bring her back to him. It said it could be done for the right price, and bore a child upon his body. It
placed the child in a silver egg and left it in the forest after taking the father's life and blood. When the
child was born, it had the traits of the woman once missed, but also the silver eyes of Szoreny and a
slightly purple flesh. Twice-Poisoned Feather does not project a reflection, but instead creates the illusion
of two-mirrors facing each-other when faced with a reflective surface.
She gathered all of his father's notes from his secret study and flew from the village, trying to understand
her place in the world.

Feather finaly arrived at a large city, but the citizen's reactions to her discovery was not as planned. After
a few weeks of living as she used to, she was found by a Guild's Merchant and captured as a slave.
Demon-blooded are high-ranking in the market these days. She lived the life of an assassin bait for almost
3 years, shifting between masters for the profits of the Guild when she finally had enough of this. She

remembered a few things from the books of her father and gathered the necessary materials for the ritual.
She slew her current master with cunning before feeding his body to Heimlar'val in an attempt to control
him. The summoning and pact where successful, and thus she became the current bearer of the DemonHammer, bent on sowing chaos upon those who dare treat demons as tools and commodities.
What are Twice-Poisoned Feather's powers?
-High Wits and manipulation, she's no real fighter but she always strike when you least expect it.
-First Szoreny Excellency
-Feather has a unique power allowing her to shapeshift into someone whom she can see. When stealing
someone's identity, if the target is using Charms, Twice-Poisoned Feather can use these Charms for the
next action without having to meet the Prerequisites. If they use a combo, she can only use the same
combo or individual Charms. Twice-Poisoned Feather cannot create her own Combos. Shapeshifting in
such a way costs her a single mote of essence and the shapeshifting lasts only for the scene.
Why is Twice-Poisoned Feather an antagonist?
-The players might be working for or with the guild, thus creating an enemy who has nothing personnaly
against the characters but who'll do anything to get rid of their employers.
-The players might stumble upon her as she steals the identity of a character close to the players.
-Twice-Poisoned Feather is a demon-cultist using a second-Circle demon as her weapon. The girl is
clearly not good for the balance of the world.
-The players might get a sense of danger while fighting themselves thanks to Feather's unique ability.
-(If the players ARE the antagonists) Twice-Poisoned Feather is a lost soul trying to set things right from
her twisted point of view. She's doomed to fail and if the players learn this info they might as well play with
her until Heimlar'val eats the poor thing.
-You'll see that I intentionally left her new position unknown ( a city ) as well as the age she has. Her
story also has some holes in it in order for you to adjust her a little to your story.
-She's not an Exalted. She has a very powerful weapon and 2 charms. She does not know kung-fu except
for social-fu. I think it's a character that can create fear in player's eyes without being an exalted or a Guild
super-mega-uber-plotting machine.
Heimlar'val, The Enslaved Glutton, Second Circle Soul of Metagaos
Heimlar'val once was the Glutton Without Border but was twisted by a first-age Sidereal in order to stop
him from eating everything it considered an enemy. In its new form, that of an obsidian hammer with a
head made of jagged fangs, it waits in the demon city to be summoned into the world once more. Once
summoned, it will try to consume anyone trying to control it by the ways of his pact. The pact states that
anyone can enslave the Glutton for a year and a day without consequences, after which it will feast on
flesh one last time before concluding the pact and getting back to the demon city. What is never made
clear is that his last meal will always be his holder, which Heimlar'val can wholly consume from the inside
thanks to the attunement link.
Heimlar'val has the statblock of a Vitriolic Soulsteel Goremaul. Attuning to it costs an health level. When

attuned, the head of the weapon sometimes shift as though it fangs had a jaw, and green and black
smoke rises from between them. The bearer can also sense the pulse and the hunger of Metagaos's soul
within the shaft of the weapon, which forces him to eat twice as much as usual in order to feed the
demon.
Heimlar'val's evocations are based around consuming the enemy, dragging the enemy closer, stealing
power through attacks and attacking by himself. It also gains in power when used against a declared
Nemesis of the user.
