Maintain existing trails and further expand the trail networks


Implement Food Security Strategy recommendations with the aim to
increase access to safe, affordable, nutritious food for all citizens
Hire a planning & design consultant to prepare a concept plan that
reflects a common theme & vision for the future of the Rev. Golf Course
Upgrade washrooms with new fixtures and configurations, female on
upper floor and male & female on the lower floor.
Hire a contractor to develop an action plan based on the Business
Retention and Expansion research conducted in 2015
Hire a project manager to research, develop, plan, coordinate and
implement a rolling stock preservation strategy
Support & promote the growth of small business, entrepreneurs and non
profits by providing space, services, education & key business networks.
Deliver a high quality visitor experience with newly crafted exhibits, and
aggressively market the Museum and Discovery Centre
Re-introduce the Handmade Parade and add a Francophone Festival
and continue as the main contact for all arts and culture in Revelstoke
Install 18 new exhibitions in the art gallery and develop the demonstration
gardens with interpretative signage.
Theatre professionals mentor youth in all aspects of live theatre
production to produce three theatre productions of excellence.
Digitize and catalogue recently acquired photographs and archival
material and make them accessible to the public.
Bring quality acoustic music to the community through concerts and other
musical endeavours to encourage development of local talent
Facilitate 2 play writing workshops & 3 NT live presentations. Workshops
include guidelines, homework, critiques & possible performance of works
Celebrate Revelstokes multicultural diversity ethnic food, interactive
cultural displays, entertainment workshops and childrens activities.
Provide youth opportunity to participate in authentic French culture:
French play group, French drama activities, francophone potluck
Raise public awareness and increase knowledge of Aboriginal people in
the Revelstoke area.

PROJECT TOTAL FUNDING

Provide early childhood development programs including Leap Land


Indoor Playground facilitation, Play in the Park, playgroups & events
Offer a summer care schedule that meets the needs of working parents
and provides an active day program for the children
Provide a continuum of services to youth in collaboration with local
agencies and organizations
Provide an opportunity for children (age 6-11) including those with
special needs to have a fun and meaningful summer
Enable youth to participate in the 2015 We-Day trip and participate in
related social responsibility activities, empower youth to make change
Provide accessible, engaging series of workshops for parents and early
learning service providers to support healthy child development.
Deliver the Roots of Empathy an evidence based program that raises
social/emotional competence & increases empathy in children
A week of free recreational, artistic & cultural activities where families
learn to manage screen media & year round education
Deliver 2 outreach events: Early Season Staying Alive Night and a youth
and young adult oriented snowmobile safety day
2 community gardens, Little Sprouts preschool gardening, Garden & Art
Tour, Food Processing Equipment Loan Library & Garden Guru
Recruiting and training volunteers to provide care and support for
Palliative care and PALS programs.
Provide support to ensure women & their children can successfully live
in the community after fleeing violent relationships.
Provide year round food assistance, resources and services to support
children families & seniors that live in poverty or are working poor.
Provide services to residents who are marginalized by poverty, illiteracy,
age or disability to ensure equal access to basic needs
Construct brightly coloured ramps to inaccessible business & services
building entrances for those with mobility challenges
Provide financial assistance towards the cost of spay/neuter pets and
strays to lower the growing population of homeless/abandoned pets
Introduce a higher level of engagement to ensure strong, multi-agency
collaboration in addressing social sector issues.
Implement & develop volunteer-based programs to meet specific needs
of seniors: transportation, computer training, snow removal, shopping
Purchase Sea Can type Equipment storage, timing equipment, Coaches
tools, signage & materials to secure race venues
Maintain, build & administer the Youth Access Fund that enables youth
from low income families to attend recreational/cultural events/programs
Purchase safety equipment for hosting races, netting for corners, pole
protection pads & railings for bridges. Maintain buildings & equipment
Build a new modern skatepark in Kovach Park and decommission the
old existing skatepark.
Provide individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to
enhance their lives & celebrate personal achievement with positive sport
Properly install a better culvert on a well used walking/cycling trail near
the airport as existing culvert is failing.
Purchase a black theatre curtain needed to improve the calibre of the
annual community Ice Skating Show.

human-bear conflict, and reduce fruit & garbage as bear attractants.
Promote stewardship & sustainable living through a series of programs &
events to increase knowledge of, and respect for, the natural environment
Create a catalogue of potential ecosystem enhancement projects and
foster relationships with stakeholders to successfully complete projects.
Reduce financial barriers for individuals and non-profit organization that
require employment related training or support organizations capacity
Job creation & skills training, leveraging sponsorship & project funding,
performances which draw tourists to town, residency activity & camps.
Update Newcomers Guide and translate into French, Korean & simple
Chinese for electronic format and to be printed in English & French.
