for people wishing to pursue a career in the
Pathology Collection industry.

This course is the entry requirement for anyone who wants to
work as a pathology collector in pathology clinics, hospitals,
community specimen collection and laboratories.
In this course you will gain the knowledge and expertise to
collect a variety of pathology specimens and conducting ECGs.
You will also learn about infection control, Level 2 First Aid,
medical terminology and other important workplace skills.
On-Campus Courses
Classes are held one day a week usually from 9 am to 2 pm for
16 weeks. You will also be required to attend a first aid course
during this period, it will be held at varying times within these 16
weeks. Please call for details of our next class.

Students would normally expect to complete this course within
4-5 months.

FUNDING
The Victorian Government, under the Victorian Training
Guarantee, provides some funding for this course if you meet
the eligibility criteria.
To be eligible:
1.

Students need to be an Australian citizen or

permanent resident or a New Zealand Citizen and

2.

If over 20, the course the student undertakes must

be a higher qualification than any that they have
successfully completed before and

3.

Students cannot do more than two funded courses

per year.
