ABSTRACT

The level of Anxiety and Depression in Mothers Post-sectio Caesarea in Ward


Inpatient Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology RSUP Dr. Mohammad
Hoesin Palembang

Background: Anxiety is a signal of danger in unconsciousness and a feeling of
concern is unclear. Depression is a mood disorder that is severe, these feelings are
normal when taking place in a short time with the obvious precipitating factor.
Surgery is one of the causes that can cause physiological and psychological stress.
The purpose of this study was to determine the level of Anxiety and Depression in
Mothers Post-sectio Caesarea in Ward Inpatient Department Osbtetri and
Gynecology Hospital Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang.
Methods: The study is an observational study with cross sectional design. Data
were collected from questionnaires on Mother Post-sectio Caesarea in Section
Inpatient Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology RSMH Palembang. The
population in this study are all mothers Post-sectio Caesarea in OctoberNovember 2015 with consecutive sampling technique. Data presented in tables
and narrative.
Results: The results of this study showed 12.5% of respondents did not
experience anxiety, 50.0% mild anxiety, anxiety was 30.4%, 7.1% severe anxiety
and contained 41.1% of respondents did not experience depression, 42.9 % mild
depression, 16.1% moderate depression.
Conclusion: Anxiety Level Mother Post-sectio Caesarea most are mild anxiety
and Depression Levels Mrs. Post-sectio Caesarea most are mild depression.

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of Anxiety and Depression in
Mothers Post-sectio Caesarea in Ward Inpatient Department Osbtetri and
Gynecology RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang.
Methods: The study was observational descriptive cross sectional kind,
conducted in October-November 2015 in Section Inpatient Department of
Obstetrics and Gynecology RSMH Palembang. The data used are primary data in
the form of the results of the questionnaires on Mother Post-sectio Caesarea,
found 49 women with symptoms of anxiety, 7 mothers do not experience anxiety
and 33 mothers with depressive symptoms, 23 mothers did not have depression.
The data were processed with SPSS for further testing frequency distribution to
determine the level of anxiety and depression in Mrs. Post-sectio Caesarea.
Results: The results of this study showed the percentage of respondents do not
experience anxiety (12.5%), mild anxiety (50.0%), moderate anxiety (30.4%),
severe anxiety (7.1%) in the age group of 20- 23, the level of elementary
education, low economic status, the first parity is the most respondents who
experience anxiety and the percentage of respondents without depression (41.1%),
mild depression (42.9%), moderate depression (16.1%) with a group age 44-47,
the level of junior high school education, low economic status, parity is the fifth
most respondents who are depressed.
Conclusion: Anxiety Level Post-sectio Caesar's mother most was experiencing
mild anxiety in the age group 21-23, elementary education, low income, first
parity and Depression Levels Mrs. Post-sectio Caesarea is the most mild
depression by the age group 44-47, junior high school education , fifth parity.
