AND MANDATE OF DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

INTRODUCTION
Vision, Mission, Core Values and Mandate (VMCMs) are the touchstone
for everything that an educational institution like Department of Education.
Vision, Mission and Core Values statements are concrete guides for the future
of the institution, including its academic programs. VMCMs statements define
collective

efforts

and

align

the

whole

organization

towards

the

accomplishment of programs/projects/activities). Vision statement is a


forward-looking statement that defines the ideal state of an organization in
the future. Vision and mission are components of strategic management.
Further, a mission statement provides the necessary guidance for developing
strategy, defining critical success factors, searching out key opportunities,
making resource allocation choices and pleasing stakeholders. The mission
represents the synthesis of what the customers and the employees see as
being the core business, what products and services should be realized, who
customers are and what values should be delivered to them. The VMCMs
serve as anchors/frameworks for the schools strategic and operational
planning and actions. The VMCMs provide the schools constituents and
stakeholders the necessary direction and motivation on how they are
expected to perform their respective functions and to generate, allocate, and
use resources.
Statement of the Problem

The study aims determine the Awareness and Acceptability of Vision,


Mission, Core Values and Mandate of the Department of Education.
Specifically, this study will present the tables based on the level of
awareness and acceptability among the pupils, teachers, parents and
stakeholders of Gov. Evelio B. Javier Memorial National High school SY 20152016.

Scopes and Delimitation of the Study


The main concern of the study was to determine the Awareness and
Acceptability of the Vision Mission, Core values and Mandate of the
Department of Education of Gov. Evelio B. Javier Memorial National High
school SY 2015-2016.
The respondents were the 20 selected pupils, 20 parents, 20 teachers
and 20 stakeholders. They were categorize according to their sex.
The questionnaire checklist constructed by the researchers taken to
the Dep Ed. Order # 362. 2013.

Significance of the Study


Results of the study were important to bring benefits to the
higher rank officials in Department of Education, school administrators for
policy formulation and implementation. Faculty members can also benefit
from the study by using the VMCMs as their guide and framework in retooling

themselves with new and more appropriate teaching strategies and


methods.

TABLES INTERPRETATION AND DATA ANALYSIS


The following deals with the presentation, interpretation and analysis
of data. This study aims to determine the Awareness and Acceptability of the
Vision, Mission, Core Values and Mandate of the Department of Education of
Gov. Evelio B. Javier Memorial National High school SY 2015-2016.
Table 1 shows that the respondents were grouped as to sex, the results
showed that out of 20 respondents, of Males respondents got a mean of on
the Very much aware, to the very aware, on aware, on not aware. The data
shows that males respondent are verymuch aware of the DepEd Vision,
Mission, Core values and Mandate regardless of age level because the reach
the mean of 8 respondents.
