is

pleased

to

announce

CHT-15,

th

6 International Symposium on Advances in Computational Heat Transfer, to take place in Rutgers University,
Piscataway, USA, during 24-29 May 2015.
The Symposium will jointly sponsored by ICHMT, Rutgers University, and Begell House, Inc.

OBJECTIVE
The goal of the symposium is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, methods and results in
computational heat transfer. Papers on all aspects of CHT both fundamental and applied will be welcome.
Topics will include but are not limited to:

Biological heat transfer

Micro and nanoscale heat transfer

Boundary layer flow and heat transfer

Natural convection

Combustion and fire modelling

Radiative heat transfer

Computational methods

Single and multiphase flow and heat transfer

Double diffusive convection

Solidification and melting

Energy

Sustainability

Environmental heat transfer

Turbulent heat transfer

Forced Convection

Turbulence modelling

Internal flow and heat transfer

Verification and Validation

Materials processing and manufacturing

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The scientific programme will consist of invited lectures, presented by distinguished researchers, contributed
papers, which will be orally presented, and panel sessions. Further details will be announced on the CHT-15
website. In addition, an Open Forum session will give authors an opportunity to present new work, or work in
progress, which is not yet ready for review. Presentations on future directions or neglected problems in CHT
will be particularly welcome.

PRESENTATION AND PUBLICATION

Papers will be selected for presentation and publication on the basis of a one-page initial abstract (which will
be assessed to ensure relevance) followed by a review of the full papers. Publication will be by Begell House
Inc. on a flash disk and in the ICHMT Digital Library.
Papers of archival quality may be submitted for publication in one or more special issues of the Begell House
journal, Computational Thermal Sciences, or in other journals with substantial changes. Details of the journal
submission process may be found on the symposium website.

LOCATION
The Symposium will take place at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey on the New Brunswick Campus
in the hub city of New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA. The campus is close to many attractions in New Jersey
and is only 35 miles from New York with all its attractions. New Brunswick is very well connected (less than an
hour) with New York City by car, bus and train. Also, it is only 50 miles from the historic city of Philadelphia.
The sprawling campus of Rutgers University and the charming city of Princeton are other attractions. The
surrounding countryside, with its green meadows, parks, farms and rolling hills, is the reason why New Jersey
is nicknamed the Garden State. New Brunswick is known for its excellent restaurants, theatres, medical
establishments, and the long tradition stretching back hundreds of years to native American and European
settlements.
