Cruises Attended

20 days multidisciplinary oceanographic cruise in the Bay of Bengal onboard


ORV Sagar Kanya (SK 242) during 25th November to 14th December 2007.

11 days cruise program onboard Sagar Manjusha and carried out nutrient
measurements.

Southern ocean Iron fertilization experiment- LohaFEX-2009 (67 days),


onboard RV Polarstern, and did DMS-P-O measurements using Shimadzu 2010
Gas Chromatograph.

11 days cruise onboard CRV Sagar Sukthi, and did time series measurements of
DMS, DMSPd, DMSOd, DMSPp and DMSOp using a HP Gas Chromatograph.

3 cruises (about 80 days) onboard Sindhu Sankalp (SSK- 006, SSK 016 and
SSK 025), and did measurements of DMS, DMSP, and DMSO, using a HP Gas
Chromatograph.

11 days cruise onboard Sindhu Sankalp (SSK-009), and did analysis of dissolved
oxygen, to calibrate the fast DO sensor.

Research cruise onboard Tethys II in Mediterranean Sea, as a part of SOLAS


Summer School-2011.

Field Trips

Attended more than 20 monthly field trips on fishing trawlers and collected
samples for all the chemical and biological parameters.

Attended field trips to various Dams all over India to study the anoxia, and
annamox.

Attended many field trips in UK to collect and analyze samples from the Rivers
(River Avon, River Chess and River Bure).

Attended 30 days field trip and conducted heat pulse experiments in River Spree,
Germany.

National Seminar on Trends in Modern Biology at Bharathidasan University,


Trichchirappalli.

Two days National level seminar on Emerging trends in life Sciences,


Conducted at Bishop Heber College, Trichy.

Two days National level seminar on Recent advances in the discovery and use
of Bioactive molecules organized by the school of Biosciences, St. Xaviers
College, Mapusa, Goa, in association with National Institute of Oceanography,
Dona Paula, Goa.

Training Ocean Course-2007 conducted at National Institute of Oceanography.

The lecture series delivered by Dr. Victor Smetacek The Big Picture of the
Global Carbon Cycle as part of emerging Earth System Science, at National
